Orangutans live in rainforests, but their habitat is being cut down.   Soon, they won’t have any place left to live.  Also, poachers capture babies to sell as pets, killing the mothers who try to protect their young.  When orangutans get too big to be pets, they are killed or abandoned.  Life for an orangutan is sad because of what humans do.

Some of you have been wondering why your comments aren’t showing up.  Unfortunately, I’ve had to delete a few.  If it’s not something that you would say in front of Mrs. Risner, then it’s not something to write on your blog.  Also, remember this is out for the world to see.  Your language should be appropriate.  (“Dude” is not considered to be appropriate.)  Your spelling and capitals are also important.  This is real writing, not texting.  Lastly, your comment needs to be thoughtful.  “Cool” is not thoughtful.
