Hi Everyone,
Well since I have been done at the University I have celebrated with all of my close family and friends– including you! Now, while I wait for my teaching certificate to process in order to be an official teacher, I have been keeping busy as an Educational Assistant in three schools now. Have you seen me around? I also have been doing some of my workshops. Here is a couple of pictures of some tipis that I made with a grade 3/4 split class. I have a lot of fun doing this and I hope that my administrator in the near future will allow me to take time to continue going into some classrooms to do these workshops :)

See you soon,

Ms. Shiels

Mrs. Weitzel, Miss Bigknife and Grades 4/5
Thank-you for sharing a special celebration with me! I put together a slide show of some pictures that were captured that day! I am happy that you were part of my teaching experience and I am excited that you will be one of Ms. Shiels’ first classes I will follow! I will definitely be there to watch you all graduate in grade 12. Work hard and remember “If it is going to be it is up to me”
Take care,
Ms. Shiels

P.S. Actually I am an EA at the school this week (Monday and Tuesday for sure so far) so I will see you around :)

I was looking back through internship pictures and I came across these Halloween ones. Do you remember creating these spooktacular art pieces for Halloween? You all did such a great job on your art work! What was your favourite medium to work with: acrylic paint, charcoal, chalk, markers, pastels, or construction paper?

Hi everyone! Last week Shanae asked if I could find other blogs for your class to read. What a great idea! Here is Mrs. Kolbert’s classroom blog. This is the class from Palm Springs, Florida. Happy reading!
