September seemed to fly by!  I think our year is off to a good start.  Our class has been talking a lot about respect this week since it is RESPECT week at Allen School. I am so proud of the discussions we have been having at our morning meetings about ways we can be respectful.  I am hoping to see a lot of respect in our classroom all year long. 

Our Flat Stanleys will be sent out soon. I can’t wait to see where he is going to travel to this year.

Yesterday was the first day of school for the 2011-2012 school year and today I am writing my first blog- quite an exciting week!  I thought the first day of school went extremely well even though Allen School started off the morning with no power (no worries- it was restored before the students arrived). We read letters from last year’s third graders, learned about our classroom and played a few games. Mr. Clarke, our new principal, even stopped in a few times to say hello and to get to know our class.  I am very excited for this new school year.
