In the Article Playing Though the Pain in Scholastic Choice September 2013 pg 13-15 I learned a problem that you cant play the pain.
Gabby had experience with an injury .The story said that if you feel the pain you should tell the couch about the pain instead of fighting the pain.
My conclusion is that the pain will hurt even if you try fighting though the pain will still be there the next day called soreness. the picture connects to the summary by telling the couch about the pain
