Our new initiative: canceling unwanted catalogues.  These unrequested, undesired books have a major impact on the environment.  Every second, 600 catalogues are produced.  A mind-boggling 20 billion catalogues are mailed in the US every year!!!!  The majority of these are never even read.  Over 8,900 students in 22 states have saved over 1,000 trees by canceling over 61,400 unwanted catalogues.  KTA wants to increase that number.

If you receive a catalogue or product book from a company you do not actively support, please contact them, either a phone call or email, and ask them to discontinue the mailings.  Then, bring just one of each of the canceled catalogues to school to be part of a symbolic display of catalogues that have been stopped.
