If you don’t see your post on our blog it’s probably because it needs to be edited. Some students are forgetting capital letters at the beginning of sentences and/or they’re forgetting to end their sentences with a period, exclamation mark, or question mark.
When writing a post, Kidblog.org is really good about telling you where there are spelling mistakes. All you have to do is right click on your mouse and it will give you some suggestions. If no suggestions are given, then you may need to pick up a dictionary to see how the word is spelled. Always remember that many names like “Mollinga” will get underlined. As long as you know it’s spelled correctly, just leave it alone.
If you wrote a comment and it hasn’t shown up yet, it probably has some of the same problems as students’ posts. Sometimes, the best thing to do is have someone else read your post or comment before you publish it.
Always remember to keep your comments positive. No one wants to read a message like this student wrote: “Here’s something that is wrong YOU DIDN’T WRITE ANYTHING INTERESTING YET !! ” This was thrown in the trash can. How would you feel if you got this comment?
This is all about getting to be better writers while telling us something interesting.
