I am very excited to have the opportunity to spend the next 19 days learning with you!  As you can see, you will have your very own blog during summer school.  You will have the opportunity to write posts and share with readers in our classroom and perhaps, around the world!   You will also have the opportunity to read blogs written by your classmates and leave comments to your fellow authors.  

I hope you enjoy blogging and your time in summer school this year.  Participating in summer school is always a part of my summer plans and I’m glad that it is a part of your plans too.   However, I do enjoy other aspects of summer vacation.  One part of summer that I enjoy is baseball.  I love to attend St. Louis Cardinals and Springfield Cardinals games.  It is always fun to watch the games at the ballpark with friends and family… I especially enjoy it when the Cardinals win.   The  atmosphere at the ballpark just makes everything a little more  enjoyable .  In fact, while I’m there I always get a hot dog.  I’m not sure why…I don’t really eat them any other time, but there is something about eating a hot dog at the ballpark that I really enjoy.
