The ocean running up

the sandy beach.

The ice cold water

against my sandy toes.

I felt the coldness of the water

explode up my body.

With every step I took,

I felt the send crunching into smaller pieces

than it already was.

I could feel the sun’s vicious heat on my back.

But when the ocean

crashed against my sandy toes once more,

that flaming hot feeling…

Was gone.
