Come Aboard The Polar Express
The second grade classes had a lot of fun boarding the Polar Express and going places! It all starting with a greeting from the conductor, our principal, Mrs. Mountain. Then the students went from room to room to take part in some fun activities on the train. Of course, a sweet break was needed too. The kids sipped hot chocolate and ate candy canes. Ms. Andrews, our music teacher, also taught the kids the Hot Chocolate song. A Polar Express Web quest and other fun crafts were part of the trip too. We found out how cold it is at the North Pole, why Santa chose reindeer to help him out, how to say Merry Christmas in Italian, and what The Northern Lights were. Hop aboard and view the fun things we did!
I wanted to share a wonderful website I have just found!
http://mrschureads.blogspot.com/
It is Mr Schu’s blog, and he is exploring children’s literature through book trailers. My reading challenge is to read 41 books in the last 41 days of our holidays down here in New Zealand. It is Day 15, and I have read 26. However, I ran out of “real” books to read a couple of days ago, and have read a few books on line. I must say I am looking forawrd to getting back to the library (it is open today!) to get some real books! I am going to get some that Mr Schu recommends.I hope you enjoy Mr Schu’s website.
Happy New Year!
Thank you for recommending my book trailer blog. :)
