Hi Its Abby,

I have loved Mrs.Ripp for years and years because this year she moved to 5th grade and I get to be with her this and last year. I’m here to talk about something important to our class. It is that Mrs.Ripp is one of the top ten teachers in America! If she gets more votes for her than 9 other people than she will WIN 10,000 for our school!  Sorry if you think I’m bragging but for that we got to be on TV last night about the 10,000 dollar news and because she is an innovative teacher. I love Mrs.Ripp she is the best teacher in my opinion!!!

Also I love her because of her fashion. Because I like fashion too. And because we get to blog and Skype and do Edmodo. If you are wondering what Skype and Edmodo are I will tell you. Skype is where you hook up a camera to your computer and then you get other people to do that too and if you are far away from them that is a great way to say hi instead of talking on the phone!! Edmodo is kind of like Facebook but it is for kids and it is secure! If you are a teacher you should look into these things because they are a part of learning. For Skype we get to connect all around the world like we have are buddies in Egypt and all over the world.

The coolest thing is that we get to do something called The Global Read Aloud is where we connect all around the world and talk about the book you are reading and we all have the same book and then we talk about it!

One more thing is that are class is innovative and we are a hand on class we do the teaching and talking instead of the teacher doing the talking all the time. Our favorite thing to do is projects for all different kind of stuff like reading projects.

IN OUR CLASS WE ARE A FAMILY! That is the most important thing to me and our class!

Nice! You are very fortunate to have a teacher that works so hard to put you in a position to get a great education. Through these tools you have opportunities to learn in ways most of the students in the world don’t have. Will you be using these tools next year too? What have you learned about learning that you can use in the future?

Isn’t school much better when we feel our class is a family? It makes such a difference!
