Hello, bonjour, and hola, world!!! :)

This weeks blogging challenge was what does a principal do and his/her purpose.

I think that to become a principal, you have to be great at communicating.  You also have to not have a bad temper.  Another thing is you would have to be very organized.  What I think a principal does in the school is make sure the teachers are doing what they should.  They also decide what to buy for a school.  Another thing they do is help the teachers out with ideas.  Also, they make sure kids have fun at school and aren’t bullied.  And they put together school dances, field trips, and assemblies.  In the summer, they prepare schedules and basic plans for next year.  They also arrange who’s classes they should put kids in.  They still go on vacation and sleep in, but not as often as students would.  The last thing I think they do is interview teachers.

That’s what I think teachers do.  I hope other principals, or even teachers comment on here to tell me what they really do.

Hey world!!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote a blog post, but you can’t see it.  I wonder if you can find out what I wrote.  It’s written in a secret way.  I have a hint to start you off:  I wrote it in white, so if I did that, what do you have to do?

Here’s the message:

Congratulations!  If you are reading this, you have figured out the trick.  You must be very clever.  Do you know any other tricks for typing?  Have you ever been to a place called the Safe House in Milwaukee?  It’s a restaurant in an alleyway.  But it’s not just any restaurant, it’s spy-themed restaurant.  It requires a password most of the time.  I’ve never actually been there, but my good friend Jessica has been telling me a lot about it.  Have you ever been there?

Did you figure out how to read it?  If 2 people comment telling me that they haven’t, I leave a comment telling you how.

This weeks blogging challenge was to come up with as many things as possible that the paperclip can do.  There are really a lot of things you can do with it.

  1. Hold papers together (Obviously)
  2. Un-jam a pencil sharpener, unwind it and poke
  3. Prop up plants in a terrarium
  4. Poke holes to create a cool texture in a clay pot
  5. Make the person who invented it rich
  6. Create a chain
  7. Produce positive attitudes through a collection of them
  8. Unclog things
  9. Make earrings, you can unwind them and attach things to it then poke it in your ear
  10. A fishing hook, unwind it
  11. Poke an eye out (Sorry, just had to say it)
  12. Make a stick figure out of paperclips, attach them together
  13. Hold pictures
  14. Create a hole in the window if you poke hard enough
  15. Give a banana a smile, through carving
  16. Break an  iPod screen
  17. Stir a concoction
  18. Scratch a blackboard
  19. Carve something
  20. Do an experiment with it on rust, maybe soak it in water for a few days
  21. Make a hole in a sock, stick it in then move it around
  22. Smooth some pasty substance, unwind it and drag
  23. Make shapes, unwind them
  24. Pick a lock
  25. If you stick a bunch of them together you can create a paperweight
  26. Bookmark, unwind it
  27. Hang ornaments, unbend it slightly then attach an ornament
  28. Create a frame for a picture
  29. Playground for ants, you can bend it then push it in sand to make monkey bars
  30. Cut them to make a fake railroad
  31. Hair barrette
  32. Belt holder
  33. Unclog Elmer’s glue
  34. Satellite for TV, unwind it
  35. Cheese picker, unwind
  36. Make a mini wand, cut it
  37. Nail designs, dip it in nail polish
  38. Clean stuff in your keyboard
  39. Unstick an oboe reed, my friend actually told me that one
  40. Nose picker
  41. Mini hanger for dolls, bend it
  42. A helicopter propeller, unbend it

Those are what I could think of.  If you have more reasons tell me and I’ll congratulate you.

Have a day filled with paperclips,

Sophia

   Hey everyone,

I’m at home right now, sick, with a really bad cold.  However, just because I have a cold doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to eat.  I just had an amazing peanut butter cup (Notice how I didn’t say, “Reeses”, peanut butter cup).  It’s not a reeses though, my mom’s restaurant made it for Saturday night.  It’s about the size of a teacup.  The filling is peanut butter, about the size of the average bouncy ball.  I wish I could have a little bit more.

I AM TOTALLY IN THE MOOD FOR BLOGGING TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey again, in case you haven’t heard, I’m in the mood for blogging today.  This will just be about things I feel like saying at the moment.

This first paragraph is about classical music.  My favorite songs to listen to that are classical music are: Rhapsody in blue (George Gershwin), Overture 1812 (Tchaikovsky), and Peer Gynt Suite ‘In the hall of the mountain king (Grieg, don’t know his first name).  I also like Carnival of the Animals (Saint-Saens, over the “e” are two dots.)  That’s really all I listen to over and over again on iTunes.

The next thing is classic novels.  Here’s a list of books I would like to read and their authors: A Christmas Carol (Charles Dickens), The Jungle Book (Rudyard Kipling), The Swiss Family Robinsin (Johann David Wyss), Journey To The Center Of The Earth (Jules Verne), 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea (Also Jules Verne), Around The World In Eighty Days (I sound like a Jules Verne fan, don’t I), Sherlock Holmes (Arthur Conan Doyle), King Arthur (Howard Pyle).  I <3 books.

That’s all I feel like writing abou- WAIT.  I also want a Kindle Touch, Kindle Keyboard, or Kindle Fire.  Okay, I’m done.
