Bang! The Simulation!

Now I need to tell you about the simulation.  I did a simulation in my class.  We acted out the part in history when we sailed to America like Christopher Columbus.  We got to make up a ship’s name and our name.  The ships were Black Pearl, Richochet Rock, Royal Maria, The Looney Goons, and my ship, S.S. Bloom.  My name was Scott Duhrshman.  At first we all had five health points at first.  We lost points by having a disease.  When we got to zero health points we died.  Some of us died having a disease.  Some of us died of a shark attack.  I didn’t die.  I still had four health points left.  My team had two people die.  We had a journal to keep track of what happened in the simulation.  We made it home safely.  You should encourage your teachers to do a simulation.  It is real fun!

    Hello Nate,

The simulation is interesting but it seems you were one of only a few who made it home safely. This would have been true for many early explorers in a time without GPS, radio, and satellite phones.

I think many classes would enjoy this simulation. :)

I would be interested to know what kinds of things you wrote in your journal. Did you also draw pictures of what you were experiencing?
