A Holiday Treat For Someone

     If you could do something special for someone during the holidays, what would it be?  The holidays are a time of giving and I am going to tell you about the present I want to give my friend’s little sister(my sister is in the same grade as my friend’s sister). 

     Here’s what I’d like to do:  Mandy(the name of my friend’s little sister), has a collection of everyday things, but mini.  My family was cleaning my sister’s room and in a pile of random things and we found, low and behold, a full deck of mini UNO cards.  I want to give them to Mandy for a Christmas present.  My sister wants to keep them because, and I quote,” I just haven’t used them yet.”  She should really just get in the Christmas feeling and give it to Mandy.  My plan is to persuade to my sister to give them to Mandy on Wednesday.

    Sophia, that is super idea to give the mini Uno cards to Mandy. She will know that you were thinking of her, and it’s a great way to ‘reuse’ something that may have been thrown away. What a fun thing to collect too, mini things!

    It is funny how we hold onto things for what seems like no reason. I hope you can persuade your sister to give the mini UNO cards to Mandy. That is one of the best games and I am sure that Mandy will love them. Maybe Mandy will play the game with your sister?

    I think that it was really generous of you to give the deck of cards to your friend.You were very kind and it sounds like you got into Christmas spirit and did something that maybe your sister wouldnt have done.

    Thank you for the comment and I hope Mandy will play it with Olivia. I also am a great lover of uno, so I was tempted to keep them. But then I thought that since it’s Christmas, why not make them a gift? Are you a teacher? If so, what do you teach? What books do you like?l
