I am Mrs. Sanger and I am a teacher at Northwood school. I have taught at Northwood for 11 years. I have been married for 20 years and have two children. Meredith is 19 and attends the University of Waterloo in the Faculty of Health Science. Scott is 17 and is in Grade 12. This is his final year in high school and in the fall he will attend university. He is the Prime Minister of his school this year which is exciting! Brad is my husband and he is an Optometrist. We live in a small town outside of Windsor called Amherstburg. There are about 10,000 people who live in Amherstburg. My husband and I both have family that live in England. Our family has a travel trailer and we love to go camping. We have traveled to all of Canada’s eastern provinces; Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. We did not make it to Newfoundland. Here is a picture of us camping with our dog Chase!

My favourite subject to teach is Math. It is easier for my students to learn because we can use all sorts of hands on materials. They do not enjoy reading and writing! I try to make it exciting by visiting all sorts of interesting websites which they sort of enjoy. Last year I taught Kindergarten (4 and 5 year olds) so it is very different for me to teach 11,12 and 13 year olds. I am enjoying it though as we do more things with technology!
I love to watch the figure skating in the winter Olympics. In the summer Olympics I enjoy the gymnastics! I love to watch the medal ceremonies! The look of pride on the athletes faces tugs on my heart! We have an athlete in Windsor who is trying to qualify for the boxing. Her name is Mary Spencer.
I had learned about Quadblogging last year and thought it would be amazing to connect with another class in the world. I hoped that my students would learn about life in another country and some of the traditions and lifestyle. I love to read the comments and see that kids are kids whether it is in Canada or England! The authentic audience is wonderful! We are looking forward to the next few months!
Thank you all for visiting our blogs!
