My Mom loves to read. My Mom started reading when she was four. Her Mom taught her at their kitchen table while they made mandu (korean dumplings). She learned Korean letters and English words. As a kid my Mom’s favorite books were  Charlotte’s Web and Stuart Little. When my Mom went to reading class, they read outloud and made plays of the books they read. She would also draw pictures from the storie she read.

A good memory my Mom has about reading is her Mom reading to her at night. A bad memory she has about reading was reading a book that was too hard for her. Work-related e-mails distract my Mom from reading when she’s trying to read an interesting novel. My Mom also reads books or articles off the i-pad or New York Times.

When my Mom is reading, she has a giant movie playing in her head and likes to read a book first before watching a movie of the book; she often likes the movie in her head more than the real movie itself. When my Mom finishes a book, she thinks about it and sometimes talks to my Dad about it. Reading is such an entertaining thing because it allows her to enter into different worlds that you may never be able to experience in your life.

I read a book called N.E.R.D.S  National, Espionage, Rescue, and Defense Society. The book is about a boy named Jackson who is a big bully but eventually get’s braces and becomes a nerd. He becomes a secret agent in this secret organization called N.E.R.D.S. (National, Espionage, Rescue, and Defense Society). Along with the other secret agents Duncan Dewey,(code name: Gluestick) Matilda Choi,(code name: Wheezer) Julio Escala,(code name: Flinch) Ruby Peet,(code name: Pufferfish) and Heathcliff Hudges,(code name: Choppers) Jackson has to defeat a evil scientist named Dr. Jigsaw.

I think Jackson is always thinking that he will do good but always fails. For example when Jackson was on a special mission to capture a docter before the assasin hired by Jigsaw does. He ends up totally failing the mission. Once, I thought I would be able to score a goal in basketball but when I tried I only ended up giving the othe team the ball. That is how me and Jackson are very alike.

I just finished a book called N.E.R.D.S. M is for Mama’s Boy. It is about a boy named Duncan who is part of a secret organization called N.E.R.D.S.(National Espionage Rescue and Defense Society). The boy is on a mission to defeat his old teammate who has teeth that can hypnotize people with his giant buckteeth. Duncan and his teammates Jackson,(code name: Braceface) Julio,(code name: Flinch) Ruby,(code name: Pufferfish) and Matilda (code name: Wheezer) are trying to defeat the old teammate Heathcliff. Heathcliff hires a guy that made a gun hat can control technology.

I think Duncan is smart, brave, and nice. I think he is smart because he always investigates everything in the room just to make sure there isn’t any clues hanging around. For example when they were in a comic book store he found that on the cover of one comic book had the same gun that the evil man was using. I think he is brave because he was willing to fight his old friend in a flying school bus! I think Duncan is nice because he never is mad that people bully him because deep down he knows that he is special. These are the character traits that help Duncan on missions to save the world.

The book I am reading is called The Son of Neptune. It is the sequal to another book called The Lost Hero which is the first book. It is about a boy named Percy who wakes up with no memory and finds himself fighting snake-haired ladies that people call gorgons. The only problem was that every time Percy tried to kill them they re-formed every time he killed them. One time he escaped and found this old hippie woman on the street. The woman asked him to carry her across the street to the entrence of a place called Camp Juniper. Percy dediced he would join the camp so he carried the woman across the street and went into the camp. That’s all I’m going to tell you, you’ll just have to read the book.

I read more in The Green Book and here is what is going on. They think the planet Shine is perfect but later things start to get wrong. The plants they brought don’t grow, the wheat they grew had glass on it and became super fragile. I think the people  start to get greedy when they don’t have anything to do.They meet new alien life forms called moth people. They had lidless eyes that are red. The moth people fly at night instead of sleeping. That is what we read in The Green Book.

When I predicted before I was wrong but I was right about there being other alien life forms.First they think that the Moth People are bad but then they start to cooperate and eventually they become friends. I think that the moth people will finally be able to talk to Pattie and Jason and they will survive on the planet Shine together.I think that the moth people will feed the people and restore them back to health. I defnatly think that it will come true and I am very confident about my prediction.

Here are my questions for The Green Book. Will the moth people turn on the humans even though I think different? Will the moth people survive if they are afraid of the water and will they run out of the candy sap and won’t have anything to eat? If they turn on the Humans will they be able to survive? If the moth people eat the same thing as humans then will they battle for food? Those are my questions for The Green Book.So thank you for reading my blog and I hope you liked it!
