       “The Hunger Games” is a very good book. It is about a girl named Katniss and some other characters are Prim, Peeta and Gale. The Hunger Games is a game were the capital takes 2 children from each district, a boy and girl. 

         In the beginning of the book Katniss’ sister is, Prim, is picked for the Hunger Games, with Peeta , so Katniss volunteered to go instead of  Prim. Next, they they get on a train, have a feast and meet their mentors. Peeta and Katniss are interviewed by Caesar at the capital

          They start their training at the training hall. Training scores are revealed, Katniss’ was an 11 out of 12. The Hunger Games  start. Katniss almost got hit in the head with a throwing knife, she kept the throwing knife, and found an orange backpack with some food, an empty water bottle, a thermal sleeping bag and some bandages inside it. She finds a bow Katniss gets a gift from sponsor.  She makes an ally named Rue.  Katniss blows up a groups supply. Rue dies soon after that and Katniss kills the person who kills Rue.

The Capital comes up with a new rule that the people could win with the other peaple from there district so Katniss goes to find Peeta. She finally found him buried under lots of muck, still alive. She finds out that Peeta has a bad infection and can get the medicene for it at a ”feast”, so she knocks Peeta out and goes to the “feast” and almost gets killed again but survives and gets the medicine. She somewhat heals Peeta.  Katniss fights to death with the last contestant, except Peeta, and wins. They get healed and have their last interview with Caesar 

The book THE SHADOW THIEVES is a very good book, I would call it an adventure book. I like it because it has lot’s of Greek mytholegy [its a good book if you like Greek mythology].It was a very exiting and surprisingly suspenseful. The author’s name is Anne Ursu. The book is about a girl named Charlotte who has the worst luck, but when she finds a kitten everything starts to go her way, until her cousin Zachery [a boy] came to live with her. Zachery [nicknamed Zee] is Charlotte’s cousin from Britain. He plays soccer and is very athletic.

Wherever Zee went every teenager got sick. They eventually found out their social studies teacher, Mr. Metos is a Titan. The reason those people are getting sick is because human like things are their stealing shadows. Mr. Metos goes down to the underworld to save the shadows , but he gets captured!!! So Charlotte and Zee received a note tied to a giant black bird. It said: Come and save me, from, Mr. Metos. So they ventured into the underworld. This story is thrilling and leaves me wanting to read the second book in the series.
