My opinion of Athena The Wise is that if you likereading about books that have goddesses and gods, but aren’t really interested about the facts the you should read this book. I thought this book was great because there is always a challenge for the main character (Athena). When there is a challenge in the story it keeps the reader wrapped into the book- because most readers want to know how the person successfully did the challenge or if they were ableto complete the challenge.

In Goddess Girls: Athena The Wise the main character is Athena. Her task as being the goddess of wisdom and the daughter of the principal, she has to follow her father Zues’s (principal and the biggest, baddest gods of them all) orders. Which is, to befriend a mortal newcomer to Mount Olympus Academy (MOA) and guide him because at his old school he was thoght of a trouble maker in Zues’s eyes, although Athena observes different. She thinks it will be quite fun to be friend with him based on how he makes humor out of his harm to himself ( dropping his club on his foot).

Athena hasn’t become a guide for Heracles (mortal newcomer) until she follows him after they and all their friends had finished drinking shakes. She guided him in how to solve problems without harming the animal. Heracles first task, that athena helped him with was to make sure the Hydra doesn’t bother the people of Lerna anymore. There was another task before this one that Heracles had completed by himself -with violence- that was on the list for him to complete and that task was to kill a lion that was a big problem for the people of Nemea. The reason why Heracles ha sto complete all of these tasks, because it is a chance for him to earn a permanent spot at MOA and maybe a even the chance of future immortality. Heracles’s cousin was the one who had come up with these tasks but the oracle at one of Athena’s dad’s temples was the one who said he needed to do the tasks. Heracles has completed two of the labors that were on the textscroll that he had. He had two down and ten to go. The next labor that Heracles had to complete was to capture one of Artemis’s (one of Athena’s best friends) white deer and show it to Heracles cousin. These tasks became very repetative of each other, there different places/animals, but the idea was the same. Athena believes that his cousin isn’t very imaginative based on the labors he had chosen for his stronger, but younger cousin to complete. The next task wasn’t much different from the past completed ones.  It wasto capture a boar but instead, since the boar didn’t seem so dangerous or mean, Athena and Heracles brought the giant boar to Heracles’s cousin to boor his cousin to death since the boar told such booring stories they figured that since his cousin was going to be sitting in a vase all the time then the boar should tell him all of the stories that the boar couldn’t resist telling Athena and Heracles.

The next labor involved cleaning. Which was a relief to Athena, well atleast just glad it didn’t involved hunting down or capturing another animal, but little did she know that their were piles of cow dung the size of mountains to be cleared away. After hours of work they had only cleared one stall.Heracles was smarter than everyone thought he was. He had the idea to of creating a flood with the rivers that were near by. The two of them began to make a dam so the water soon enough would flow over its sides into the valley. Heracles built a second dam on the opposite river. Their task for King Augea’s castle was completed.

Athena had gotten herself into a challenge soon after the cleaning. It was a weaving contest to show that she was a better weaver that this women that was full of herself and thought she was the best, even though Athena was the inventor of weaving. This womens name was, Arachne. There weavings would be judged by the womenof the town and the psition of who was best would be clear. The judging would take place on Thursday morning, which would give Athena five days time.

The next labor Athena had missed and Heracles had to do it on his own, it was just scaring a few birds away.

Will Heracles beable to complete the next nine labors, before his time limit runs out? Will he beable to stay at the school? Does he have the chance at immortality?  Will Athena win the competition?

Read this book to find out the answers to these questions and to be entertained by real named goddesses and gods.

My opinion of Julia’s Kitchen is that it is a sad book at the beginning and then it gets happier at the end. think this because the main character’s mother and sister dies right at the beginning, but towards the end Cara (the main character) decides to take over her mother’s business for her since everyone liked the business so much. That is why I liked this book.

In Julia’s Kitchen there is a young girl whose mother, sister, and cat died in a house fire while she was at her best friend, Marlee’s house. As soon as Marlee’s mom drove Cara to the hospital and she had seen ger father looking so depressed she knew that her worst nightmare had came true. She thought her dad was an old man when she first took a glance at the firefighters talking to him. She only expected him to be an old man because his hair was grey instead of brown, he had puffy, red eyes, and an older face. When Cara was talking to her father about what happened, the little phrases that her dad managed to get out started to get worst. So many questions filled Cara’s head as she thought about the situation more, how did dad escape but not Janie or mom? Why had God spared her life and had taken the ones most precious to her? What caused the fire ?

At the funeral Cara found a large amount of information to her questions, especially why her dad had survived but not mom or Janie. If you plan to read this book then it is sort of a mystery to find the answers to the questions until the book has already told.

I guess your wondering why the title of the book is Julia’s Kitchen? The reason why it is named that is because that is the name of the bakery business that Cara and her best friend Marlee took over since Cara’s mother died. Cara and her friend decided to take over the business because there is nothing better than one of Julia’s (Cara’s mom) warm chocolate chip cookies.

Will Cara ever get over her mother and sister’s death? Will her dad ever find out about the business? How did her dad escape? Read Julia’s Kitchen to find the answers!

My opinion of the amazing book, Talent, is that if you are a person that is interested in realistic fiction and you like acting stories this book is for you. I thought this book was great. The first few pages of this book gave me a clue about what this book is going to be about. Honestly I think this is one of those books that you can’t wait to find out what happens.

In this story there is a twelve-year old girl who is dieing to meet her favorite superstar, Davey Woodward. She would do anything to meet him, including inpersonating his cousin to get into an A-list party in California that he was attending. Little did she know that he was in the V.I.P. area. In the middle of the party Emily finds herself in a limo talking to a talent agent about how good her acting was when she was “Davey’s cousin”.

The talent agent was another twelve-year old girl, Mackenzie { A.K.A. Mac } who was pretending to be an agent to win the social chair compaign at school. Her competition is a girl named Ruby which is her enemy. Ruby’s best friend’s dad is representing the upcoming movie,”Deal with it“. This means that Mac will have to find anything to boost her popularity level and to become more social to win or Ruby will use her friend’s dad’s position on the set of the movie against Mackenzie.

Days go by of Mac and Emily trying to get a lead position in the movie. Although Emily doesn’t know that Mackenzie isn’t a real talent Agent. Will Emily find that out? Is Emily going to get a part, is she even going to get an audition? Find out when you read this book hope you enjoyed this summary!
