The name of my book is Horton Halfpott by Mangleberger.  Horton is a boy who is a servent to M’lady with his friends the dishes, Neversly and zoafburton and the snooping stable boys. M’lady lives in the Smugwick Manor it was built when Sirfasltafe found the lump.  Lump is a piece of dimound as big as my head and the Abduction boys always try to take stuff from M’lady like the lump or even M’lady herself. The reason Horton Halfpott is a servant is because he is very poor and whats better than working at a manor that contains the biggest diamond in the world.  Having the biggest dimound in the world, wouldnt something happen to it, and this is where  the mystery comes in the story of Horton Halfpott and the mystery of Smugwick Manor.

M’lady was throwing a party at the Smugwick Manor.  The party was a special event for the Manor.  It was going to be a costume ball.  They would invite everyone.   This meant the Manor would have to shine.  Most of the work would have to be done by Horton, Bump the kitchens staff, gardeners and stable hands.  The chairs would have to be moved by hand, the ballroom floor would be waxed, the invitations would have to be hand delivered to everyone within a days walk.  Horton set out, while everyone else went swimming .  His only friend Bump knew that Hortons family was in need, he could not loose this job.  Horton was out trying to deliver invitations, while someone at the Manor  looking for the lump and stole it.  Thats what Horton Halfpott came back too.  The Manor was being turned upside down and everyone was being checked out.  The pockets of Hortons revealed a candle and mud from the mire.   This is how the mystery begins.

The book I am reading is called Million Dollar Strike by Dan Guttman. The book is about a young boy named Ouchy ”well that’s his nickname”anyway the boy helps out at a old bowling ally and also helps with a crazy old man named MR.Z.   MR.Z  thinks the world is going to end on New Years 2012 he always had a big theory for it.  MR.Z  bowling ally was going to be tore down ,MR.Z  made millions of dollars and so a couple of days before it was tore down they fixed it right up with flat screens, the best fancy speaker’s, a cool DJ and much more.

Ouchy and his friends threw a party at the bowling ally, they put up fliers all over the town.  The next day, believe it or not, the whole town was there every thing was going great until Pin Head .  A  few days before the party a note was left on MR.Zs car saying (you’ll all die PIN HEAD)PIN HEAD got right up in front of every one and said hi every one can you say pin head (pin head)Hope you all had a fun time because you are all going to die he had a bowling ball in his hand and lit the string on it .  It was a bomb every one ran and screamed in terror trying to get to the door every one got out but there was no pin head locally the bomb didn’t go off because the police said that the bomb rolled over the fuse the police also said that there was enough explosive to blow up the whole building .  That is how the middle of million dollar strike ended.

Robin (Birdie) Perry is newly recruited from Harlem.  He is around 22 years of age.  He has a younger brother.  He wasn’t sure what to do with his life, so he has decided to join the service.  The branch is the Army.  He is  in the second infantry.   He left his mother, father, and Uncle Ritchie.  Robin wanted to do something for his country after 911.  He felt serving would help him feel better about standing up for his country.  He thought is would be different to serve, and now he is uncertain why he joined.  They are posititioned  about 100 miles from the Iraqi border.After they thought the base was safe they got in a fight and went to a hospital and camped out there for the night. berdy  had to go to the bathroom and found captian miller being heild hostage and berdy saved her.after they all went back to the base they through a surprize birthday party for marla and they all had an awsome. time in the morning they had a horrible fire fight . johnsey tried to save a blind little boy who had been shot but then johnsey was shot and he……..died.I would recomend this book to any body who likes surprizing storys and that is what my book is about
