a tale dark and grim was a really good book. this book is mostly guts and glory. Hansel and Gretel wich live with there mom and dad ran away because there dad cut of there heads!!! there dad cut of there heads for that he can make his best friend rise from the dead. after Hansel and Gretal found that out. Gretal decided to come up with a plan to run away. the first house they came to was a bakers house. they thought that she was a really nice lady so they lived there for about a week. after a weak Gretel got locked in a cage in the basment. when Hasel relizes that he trys to go down staries and save her but when he goes down there,thier is the baker woman. she puts Hansel in the oven and tyrs to cook him but somehow Hansel manges to get out, and put the baker woman in the oven and lock it. once he gets out he gets Gretal out of the cage and they run away once agian!!
The next house they come to is a nice little house deep in the woods so they said this might be a nice place to live. when they get in the house they come to see that seven children live there and when they walk into the kitchen two sad parents are crying there eyes out. they told them that there children turned in to birds and that the disapeared in to the mountians. so Hansel and Gretal set out to find them but when Hansel fell and died Gretal was all a lone. when she got to the top of the mountain were the seven chidren were she found a door wich was locked she looked in her pocket for her key but is was not there. she dicided to cut of her finger and opened the door she let out the seven children. they were children agian. they all walked home togethere till they got to the house once agian in the woods. when they got to the house she came to find out that they have murdered wolves in the backyard. she left the seven children there and ran away for the third time.
this book was one of the best books i have ever read in my entire life. and i am not really a preson who likes to read. i would recomend this book to anybody who likes storys abput guts and glory.
