I just finished  the book called Where I’d like to be by Frances O’Roark Dowell.

This is a really great book about a girl named Maddie  she is eleven years old and lives in a Foster home.      According to her grandmother, when Maddie was little she was saved by a ghost.      This is why  her grandmother tells her she is special.  But it’s hard to feel special when you have been going  from one foster home to another.    Maddie use to live with her grandmother until one day her grandmother fell and broke her hip and Maddie got sent away.    She got sent to  the East Tennesse children’s home were she could be taken care of  properly.

Maddie wants a home so bad that when she moves into the East Tennesse children’s  home  she creates a book called “the book of houses” it sounds amazing and has  magazines pictures  and cuts outs of places  she would like to live someday.    This book is a secret and is very special to her.  One day while  she was working on her book,  a girl named Murphy arrived at the home.    Maddie and Murphy end up being room mates and quickly become friends.

Murphy seems like she has had such an exciting life.  She tells Maddie many stores about traveling and flying.      The two, with some help of friends, build a special fort where they spend most of thier time dreaming  of the futures that they hope to  have someday.

Before they know  it is  time to go to school.   At school Maddie goes to talk to Murphy at lunch but realizes  that she is sitting with the most anoying kid in the world Maddie hates him.   Maddie decides to sit at a table all by herself.  In school Maddie has many friends and seems like a normal kid.   But who could be normal when you live in foster care.

Maddie decides to share her “book of houses” with Murphy but little did she know that she couldn’t trust her.   Murphy shows everyone at school Maddies scrap book. Maddie is so hurt by this because she thought  she could trust her.   She thought Murphy was her best friend.  But would a best friend do that?

I liked this book because it reminded me of how good my life really is .  Just when you think you have it bad there is always someone that has it worse than you.  It  also reminded me that you can’t always trust people even those you think that are your friends.

This is an amazing book called Click Here.  This book is mainly about a girl named Erin.   She has her own website  but nobody else can see it.    Her best friend Jillian, Jilly for short, are on different track’s for  seventh grade.   Erin is scared to go  in to the lunch room because  Jilly and her have separate lunch times.   One day when she is in the bathroom her number one enemy calls her a Pinocchio so she made a bad choice and punched her square in the nose!   Serena, the girl that called her a Pinocchio, got sent straight to the nurse, and  Erin got sent straight  to the principl’s office.  The office  has a bunch of creepy clowns.    Erin  has lunch detention for three whole days and she is stuck with the scary clowns.    People make fun of her at school they hang posters all over the walls.  The posters show her with big feet and punching someone.  They even put one on her locker.  Erin keeps thinking about how she is going to deal with this for the rest of seventh grade.

This isn’t the only problem in the book.   Her boyfriend Mark, likes her best friend Jilly.   Erin is really mad at Mark and now she wants to switch schools.   But her parents said no way and now  she is  really angry at  them.   Her mom keeps writing her notes  about how she can change the situation.  She is  getting really frustrated  at her but has to deal with it .  Meanwhile,  she is still trying to deal with the whole Jilly and Mark thing.

In my  opinion,  I think  this book is an  awesome and fantastic book!   I would recommend this book to anybody that likes books about  girls’  and thier lives and how they survive seventh grade.   I absoultley loved this book!
