In the book, Smile by Raina Tegemeier is about a true story about a girl who is having dental drama. In the begining of the story, Riana is going to need braces because of the spaces. Then when Raina gets droped off by one of her friends, they decide to have a race to Raina’s house, as they were racing, Raina trys to pull one of her friends back but when she trys to she triped and fell on her teeth. When Raina woke up the next moring, there was a cast on her two front teeth. When Raina got her cast off, her two front teeth were pushed in and she needed to have braces and headgear. When Raina go’s to school they think that she was in a fight. When she went to the dentist, she got a retainer with two pretend teeth put on them. When she went to girls scouts, they all showed off there retainers. When Raina go’s to high school, her friends make Raina look like a fool by pulling down her skirt. At the end of the story, Raina gets new friends and go’s ot the dance with them.

I give this book a 5 because it is a great book. My favorite part is when they show a flashback of her losing her tooth. When i read the book it looked like Raina had a lot of drama in her life. My least favorite part was when she didn’t go to the Valentine dance. Some parts of the story did not make sence when her mother screamed at the periodontist even though she fainted on her own.

   Book i am doing for my book review is called, Close to Famous. Close to Famous is about a girl named Foster who was inspiered by Soony Kroll to bake interesting things like pumkin spice muffins or blueberry muffins. Foster lives with her mother only because Foster’s father died in the army. When Foster’s father died, they gave her mother a huge chunk of money that they give to other family’s to when there family member dies in ation, it is called a soilders donation. Foster is a girl who has moved so many times to like Culpepper, Memphis, Nashville, Lexington, and Virginia. Foster’s favorite muffin is a butterscotch pudding muffin. The recipe is butterscotch pudding, flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, three eggs, and milk. 1. mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl. 2.add three eggs, milk, and the butterscotch pudding into the mixing bowl. 3. add the batter into the baking pan and put them in the oven. On page 14, foster almost lost her life if it wasn’t for kitty and lester.

I give this book a 5 because it had some great detail in it and very descriptive words. My favorite part in Close to Famous is when she baked chocolate chip muffins and gave them to kitty and lester. W hen i was reading this book, i couldn’t stop reading it because it was so good. While i was reading the book, i wonder if the butterscotch pudding recipe is a real recipe. Out of all the books i have read, this is one of my favorite books . In one of the parts i didn’t get was how her mothers new boyfriend came in because her mother kick him out. When he came in, he punched Foster’s mother in the eye really hard and then broke a window after he punched her in the face. I hope you like my second book review.

Cloaked in red is about different stories all about little red ridding hood. Meg is maybe about eightteen and her mother likes to change stuff without  her knowing all about it. Meg’s mother tells her to bring back the pot that there grandmother let them use when Meg was sick, now Meg’s mother wants her to return the pot. The second story is about a girl named Rose, Rose lives alone in the woods with no houses that live next to her. One day she wants to go for a walk to the villiage when she was caught by a wolf! Rose didn’t know what to do untill she notice that the wolf was a nice wolf. the  third story is a girl naemed Amber, Amber is a family of six but now lives with her brother matt. One day Amber thinks that everyone forgot that it was her birthday today and thinks she will have to buy herself a gift. Will Amber still think that everone forgot her birthday today?

My favorite story is cloaked in red, and little red ridding hoods little red ridding hood because both of them where great stories. I give this book a five  because I like some of the stories and didn’t like some of the stories. Little Red Ridding hood has a lot of names like Meg, Rose, Amber, and many more.Little Red Ridding hoods Little Red Ridding hood is about a fariy godmother who can see what everyone is donig and saw someone giving birth.Cloaked in red is my favorite out all the other stories in the book because it really dose remind me of  little red ridding hood and her great adventure to grandmas house.The author wrote this book because he has a daughter and son who gave him the courage to write the book about little red ridding hood.I hope that you will read the book and like it and do the same kind of project that i did that is a book review. Well, i hope you like my first book review.
