Classic Cars From Around The World

                                                                                                                               Ferrari 275gtb

In 1964 a new model the ferrari 275gtb came out.Its top speed was 159 mph ,with 300 horsepower and 8000 rpm. Thats alot for a car back then. The car was built with steel tubes and a steel or a aluminum body. This Ferrari had a v-12 engine in it. According to my book it says that all models of Ferraris have disc brakes.  The Ferrari 275 gtb goes 0-60 in 6.2 seconds and 0-100 in 15.2 seconds. This model was built by Scaglietti near the Maranello factory. I picked this car because I like Ferrari’s and there very fast.

        Pontiac GTO

The pontiac GTO was introdecd in 1964. Its top speed is 122 mph with a whoping 325 horsepower and 480 rpm. Its consiterd one of the top 10 muscle cars to me. This car had triple twin choke carburators. Its engine was cast iorn with a v-12 engine. This car is manual and its a 4 speed. In its first year of selling the makers were only thinking that 5,000 will sell but by the second year of selling reached 32,000 in sellings. I picked this car because it reminds me of my Dziadziu (grandpa) because my mom told me stories from when she was a kid and he had one. He past away already so this car is very special to me.

                                                                                                                             Ford Mustang GT-350

Lee Iacocca’s search for a new car for youth started in 1960. He discoverd the Ford Mustang GT-350 in 1966. With a iorn v-8 engine in it, it delivers 306 horsepower and a top speed of 135 mph. It also went 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. The mustangs showed up with a bigger grill and more racing instruments than the 1968 convertible Mustang. This car is important to me because I have a mustang of my own.

My opinion about this book is good because if you like cars it will be the book for you! HAPPY READING!

WINDCATCHER

Windcatcher is about a boy named Tony who saves $300 and buys a sail boat. The sail boat was exactly $300 plus tax.The tax was $15. Tony was pursuading his mom and dad to buy the sail boat by waxing the car 3 times for free. His parents decided to get the boat. There was one thing, where would he use the boat? Tony said, ”What about grandmas house, it’s along the shore of Connecticut. Call grandma if I could go over there for the summer and go sailing.” His parents called his grandma and asked,”Could Tony come over for the summer because he bought a new sail boat and he would like to use it.”Sure,” his grandma said. Tony was so exited he packed his bags and was ready to go. “Finally we’re here”, they all said. Tony got out of the car and went to go see his grandma. Tony’s grandma was so happy to see him. She already got this girl Chris to teach Tony how to sail. Tony figured it out how to sail the boat in about 2 or 3 days. He also found out there was a ship wreak near by so he wanted to find it. Tony did his research and found out that a couple is trying to find it. He was spying on them and when the couple saw him they left their diving spot. Tony darted to his boat twisted his ankle and when he went back to his boat he saw it floating away. Stranded on an island he had to swim from island to island. But the couple found him and asked if he wanted a ride. His grandma, Chris and Chris’s brother where looking for him. They found them and brought Tony home. Tony said to his grandmother,  ”Ask my parents if I could stay for the rest of the summer.”Tony you won’t find any treasure”, said his grandma. “But I want to sail.”

My opion is that this book was awsome. If you like books like mystery or tresure finding you’ll like this book. Happy reading!

          Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is about a boy whole loves chocolate. He is very poor. His birthday is coming up so he is very exited because he knows that he’s going to get a chocolate bar as a present, that’s a lot  for him. The next day his father comes home with the newspaper saying that there’s a new contest for Mr. Wonka’s Factory. He reads the part in the newspaper with Mr. Wonka’s contest and it says “Wonka’s Chocolate Bars. There will be a contest to see what five Lucky kids will take a sneak peak in my shop for one day”. “That’s great”, said Charlie. The day before the big day at Mr. Wonka’s shop Charlie went out and started to shovel driveways. He made a dollar shoveling ten driveways. So then after shoveling he went to a candy shop and he bought two candy bars. The first two candy bars didn’t have the golden ticket so he bought another. In that  very one chocolate bar there was a ticket. He began to sing and dance like crazy. That very second  Charlie went home as fast as he could yelling ”I got the last golden ticket!”. Charlie bursted through his front door yelling to his parents and grandparents “look look I got the last golden ticket”. Charlies parents were so proud of him. The next day Charlie woke up early and got dressed quickly then left with his Grandpa Joe to the factory. Charlie had only one day to look around the shop so they had to move fast around the chocolate factory. They were moving so quickly that at every stop they all had to catch a breather and at every stop one kid got lost until charlie was the only one left. The day was ending quickly so they had to get back to the beginning of the journey to go home. Then Mr. Wonka said “good bye” to Charlie and Grampa Joe.

My opinion is that the book was great. The book was funny, clear, and awesome. It was great because who woundn’t want to run around a chocolate factory.
