    Meet Kit is all about a clever, resourceful girl facing Great Depression with spirit and determination! In chapter one it says that ”she goes up in her room every day and  types a story about what`s going on in the world or with her family.” When her Dad comes home from work she gives him the paper that Kit and Ruthie (Kit`s friend that live right next to her)wrote all by there self`s. In chapter two Kit finds out that the Howard`s are coming to stay at there house for a while. So Kit writes about it so, her Dad can find out as soon as possible when he gets home. Later on Kit finds out that she has to move to a different part of the house because the Howard`s need more space. In chapter three when Kit`s Dad got home he was not as happy as he would be on a normal day, any way Kit gave him the article that she wrote. Kit`s father put down the article and told Kit why he was so sad. Then after he read the article and said to Kit “things aren’t always what you plan in life.” After that they went inside they called for a meeting, everybody came and Kit`s Dad told everyone that he lost his job.

         This book is one of the best books Iv`e ever read. Even though that it only has four chapters but, they are about 14 pages long. There is 60 pages in the hole book. Also in the back of the book there is a little part where you can read about America in 1934 , it has a good conections between the book and America in 1934.these are the reasons why I would recommend the book.

 Freckle Juice is about a boy how wants freckles. He wants freckles because his Mom makes him wash his neck every night before he goes to bed.when he(Andrew) goes to school he sits behind this boy Nicky Lane that has“a million freckles’ ‘said Andrew Marcus. Andrew can not stop looking at Nicky because he is so desperate to have freckles.One day he is so desperate he pays this girl Sharon 50 cents to get a recipe from him to have freckles.The next day Sharon gives Andrew the, freckle Juice Recipe for freckle juice(The Recipe is    mix these ingredients together and drink fast  grape juice, vinegar, mustard, mayonnaise, juice from one lemon,    pepper  salt,ketchup olive oil, and a speck of onion. So Andrew did what it said but his Mom was not home. After he drank it he felt very sick. His Mom went into the kitchen to call 911 but she found the mess in the kitchen.Andrew did not go to school  for two days he was that sick.At the bus stop Andrew had a marker in his backpack and put dotes on his face so it would look like freckles.When all the kids sat down in there seats, they  giggled because it was blue marker.The teacher said“ Andrew please come to my desk.’ ‘ Miss.Kelly gave him something and said“ go to the bathroom’ ‘and do  what it says on the piece of paper.Andrew did what it said on the piece of paper.

                                  Here are some ways I like this book.It`s easy and fast to read.Little chapters.Only about 70 pages long.Here is one way that  i don`t like this book.It has a lot of photo`s.

     Amber Brown is about a girl that is growing and she is in school .Her Mom and Dad are divorced and her Mom is dating this boy Max. The father is living in Paris. And her best friend Justin moved to Alabama. Max asked he mother too marry her. Amber`s favorite teacher Mr.Cohen stays in 3rd grade while she moved up to 4th grade.

     When Amber goes back to school, her friend tells her that there is a skunk family is in the school. And there`s a math test that day but since there`s  the family of skunk`s there is no math test. One of her friends throws up in her class because of the sunk smell. The Principal says that the teachers have to still do class but they can`t do gym. While there in the class some of the teachers are calling the parents. So the kids go on the buses. when some of the kids are having fun other kids parents are coming. Finally Amber’s Mom boyfriend picks up Amber and her friend Brandi and goes home with them. When they look back they see all the kids screaming there heads off ”bring me home, bring me home”

     The next day  Amber, Max, and Mom are talking at the dining room table about the wedding and the honymoon. They say that they want to go to haiwwia  and Amber says ”I want to go to ” Mom and max are looking at each other worrided.

    I think this book is good  for when you don`t have that much time to read. I wish this book had been a lot longer because me as a reader and other people too are mostly looking for a long, good, enjoyable, understanding book. I would recommend this book to girls because it is a girl book.
