How would you feel if you were dropped off at your Grandparents house and found danger at every corner?

Kendra and her brother Seth find just that!  Little do they know that their grandparent’s property is a safe place for mythical creatures called Fablehaven. Fablehaven is a magical place where many fantastical creatures live in secluded peace.  What happens when that peace is destroyed?  All out war begins! Kendra and Seth must face Bahumat, a demon of colossal power!  Fablehaven  is by Brandon Mull, and is the first of 5 books in a series.

I would really recommend this book to people who like fantasy and mild violence.  I loved this book.

This book is set in the modern day, yet there is a twist.  Every Greek and Roman God is a alive and walking around!  This book is the second in the Heroes of Olympus Series by Rick Riordan.   At the beginning of the book Percy Jackson wakes up to find he does not remember anything!  Within the first few pages, Percy ends up running across a street, carrying a creepy old hippy lady, while being chased by two Gorgons.  (The Gorgons are the sisters of Medusa.)  Somehow Percy manages to make it to the Roman camp for half-bloods, with a little help from two new friends, killing monsters on the way.  He meets Hazel, a demigod who is the daughter of Pluto.  She has a curse on her, wherever she goes precious gems and metals appear.  Whoever takes these valuable objects has horrible things happen to them.  It is a terrible way to live.  He also meets Frank.  Frank is the son of Mars.  He is cursed as well.  He is an amazing archer and also has a special gift that you figure out, as you read the book.  Percy, Frank and Hazel are given a massive quest.   I know this all sounds a little wild but this book is filled with lots of twists and turns, monsters and new allies.  Does Percy get his memory back?  Does he succeed in his quest?  Does he find himself in more danger?  You will just have to read it and find out!   I highly recommend this book to everyone who likes action and adventure.  I have read ten books by Rick Riordan and I have loved them all.  This is the best book yet.   Read it and let me know what you think!

I am commenting on the book called  The Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring.  This book is the first book of a trilogy.  It is full of action and adventure, danger and suspense.  As I read this book, there were times I was on the edge of my seat!  The book tells of a young Hobbit named Frodo Baggins.  He is given a ring that is the cultivation of the evil Lord Sauron’s dark power.  This ring has the power to destroy all Middle Earth if in the hands of Lord Sauron.  Frodo is given the task of destroying the ring in the volcano called Mount Doom.  The book is full of many exciting characters, both good and evil.    The Fellowship of the Ring are a group of nine members of  Middle Earth that are helping Frodo complete his grueling task.  They are a group of elf, dwarf, wizard, two men and four Hobbits. They are very different beings, having different personalities and strengths but all unified by one common goal.  To save Middle Earth from destruction!  There are many malicious forces trying to stop Frodo from destroying the ring. They all covet the ring for the power it holds.  The most fearsome enemies are the terrifying black cloaked Nazgul. They will stop at nothing to regain the ring.  This is an excellent book!  The book is ultimately about the power of good versus evil.  I cannot wait to read the other books and find out what happens.  I hope you will read it and enjoy it too!
