Vermont is a place not far away from here. It is 2/3 forest and has a population of only 570,000 people which is the top third least populated state in the U.S. Vermont’s capital, Montpelier is also the least populated capital in America. Burlington is the largest city with only 39,000 people. That’s the size of an average mlb stadium capacity.
Vermont’s land is very beautiful. There are mountains, fields, forests, and more. The highest point in Vermont is Mount Mansfield at 4,500 feet. The coldest temperature ever recorded in Vermont was -50 degrees. That’s so cold and the air is so dry at that temperature that you would cough up blood and freeze to death. The hottest was 105 degrees on July 4, 1911 in Vernon, Vermont.
There are many historic sights in Vermont, from barns to ancient Indian carvings. Also, there were many wars that were fought in Vermont such as the Battle of Bennington.Vermont is one of the smallest states but has a lot of wildlife. This includes bears,skunks,raccoons,deer,wolves, and more animals.
Vermont experiences all of the four seasons, winter, spring, fall, and summer. They have harsh winters and surprisingly mild to warm summers including that they are far up north. There are many farms in Vermont that produce cheese,milk, and yogurt. Also, they are a huge producer in maple syrup. They lead the country in most syrup produced in a state.
I would recommend this book to anyone because it is a fun read and you can learn a lot about one state in one book.Also you can know what it is like in a different place other than where you live. I enjoyed this book because I am into non-fiction.
