Dear Juliet,

My father doesn’t want to except the fact im in love with Romeo . He wants me to marry Paris . My heart is not with Paris it’s with Romeo . My Romeo had to leave town if not he will be killed . He came sleep with me before I left in the morning .

One problem I have is Romeo is my family’s. They would hate to know im in love with there enemy . I look pass all that because I really love Romeo. Romeo and I will be together till death do us part. I love Romeo with everything in me .

Omg I just meet this beautiful man . His name is Romeo Montague . I feel in love with him. It’s like love in first site . I really like Romeo alot . I hope to marry Romeo. It’s just this one problem my family wants to see me with Paris .3

In Maya Angelou’s poem  ” Still I Rise” it have many meanings to it. The title ” Still I Rise ” is saying nomatter what goes on she will still stand tall.  Someone that has had a difficult life like her can say “Still I Rise ” because they were able to pull through and make there life better than it was before. Maya Angelou Born on April 4th, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri. She has been through racial discrimination , Maya Angelou has seen alot .

This poem uses metaphors hyperboles, and more  poetic  devices . Example is how she use line as a metaphor ” I dance like I’ve got diamonds At the meeting of my thighs .”  You can easily picture while reading the poem.   The line that says “You may shoot me with your words,you may cut me with your eyes”. She creates these saying probably relating to some of the things that has happened to her .

“Still I Rise ” is a poem that has rhythm in it there are plenty of lines that rhythm . The words she uses to get the lines to rhyme  are words that show hurt and pain.She uses words that people have seen or been through in there life .  There are many poetic words that uses many of the five senses . Every word that she says she is able to relate to .

The poem makes me kind of sad . It also shows that just because you have been through a lot it doesn’t mean that you cant make something of your life . She is creating a very strong mood for the people that reading the poem. It’s creating a message saying be strong and to make something of your life don’t let your past hold you back from what you really want to do . This poem will get you to think about plenty of bad things that has happened in your life. Her poem is very easy to understand and to get interested in.

This poem tells people that read it about what she has some what been through. Maya Angelou may have created this poem to tell people that you are able to accomplish anything in life if you up your mind to it . I think she has achieved her goal of helping people out . The poem ” Still I Rise ” has many people that are able to relate to this . Some of the things she has mentioned in her poem can help people to have faith in themselves to do something right and make there life way more better than it was.
