Dear Diary,

Okay, so…. the priest came up with this idea so me and romeo can be together and i wont have to marry Paris. The plan is for me to take this potion that will make me seem dead but i will really be sleep. A man will deliver a letter to romeo telling him the plan and when i wake up he will be there and we will live happily ever after. Well its time for me to take the potion , Wish me luck.

Dear Diary,

My mother told me my mystery love’s name . His name is Romeo and he’s a montague. Our families are enemies but i dont care I love him. My Parents want me to marry Paris but I want to marry Romeo and I will Marry romeo. He may have been banished for killing Tybalt, but i will think of something so i wont have to marry paris .

                  OMG! I just met awesome dude and i dont even know his name yet but i would kill myself to be with him. Iwonder what is the name of the who has stolen my heart. My mind wondered as i looked intro his hazel eyes and at his juicy lips , all i could picture is us being married with children. I am about to go find him in this party, wish me luck.

       Maya Angelou describes her ability to rise above anything that happens to her in this poem. She also uses apostrophe to address her discourse, as well as give others the ability to share her voice. I believe this poem could be seen as Maya addressing someone as a sort of self confidence booster for others to recite.
Maya also asks questions throughout the poem, which give the readers the opportunity to review their lives, contemplate their beliefs, and review the questions being asked of them. The rhyme scheme remains the same as the beginning through the middle three stanzas. 
 It’s basic meaning is that is no matter what others do to hurt her in the past or future she can rise above it. She makes it feel as though she’s saying you thought I couldn’t do it but look at me now! then she asks if her pridefulness is offensive, and then continue to say she doesn’t care if it is or not. Then lastly, she says that you can try and hurt her any way that you want but she’s still going to rise above it all.
