This poems are the same because the author is talking about athletes.  Even though in one of the poems an athlete dies , the stories are the same because they both involve an athlete and a porticular kind of sport.  The author tells that both of the athletes gave up on them self and ended up dead and the other one ended up working at a place that he should’nt be working at. The author uses rhyme in the one of the poems and not uses it in the other one.  He does not uses repetition or alliteration. The author wrote this poems to show people that if you give up on your life or choose a wrong way of living , you’ll end up living a bad life.  The theme of this poems is to pick a right way for your life.  This poems are different because in one the author is using rhyme and in another one , he doesnt. Another difference in these poems is that one athlete dies and another lives but becomes a employee at a job that was not best for him when he could’ve went to be a superstar at his perticular sport.
