I would only buy a “girl-empowering” Barbie for my child. This is a way to make her feel that anything can be accomplished by a female just like a male and never let any man tell her other wise. Barbie’s body may be very unrealistic but she can still has very positive goals i life and I would allow my daughter to have a doll that inspires her. As long she gets the main message that you can be a successful woman in america then I am perfectly fine with a Barbie doll being purchased for my daughter.

I think that the students, teachers, parents, and community all have a serious roll in the dropout rate in the U.S. The teachers have a serious roll in this because they are at school with these students everyday and if they see that the student is failing classes or constantly being ridiculed in class for senseless drama they should step up and help the child. If the teacher would acknowledge the problem when it first begins than it can possibly be solved. The parents should pay attention the to their children. Parents should get involved with their children and get in their child’s business. Personally, I think that no child has a business of their own if they’re still living in their parents house. So parents, step up and take charge but don’t overdue it, make them feel comfortable when you do talk to them.  The community should step up and fix the living environment for the kids. If a child grows up around foolishness and a negative minded area, that’s what they are most likely to come out as. Start a tutoring program or something of that nature to help out the children. The students need to actually listen to the adults in their life and should find someone positive within the school, in your community, or in your home to talk to and tell what’s going on. Don’t be afraid to ask question in school or at home. Find something positive to do and actually help out in the community. If everyone actually steps up and take their role in society, I personally think that the dropout rate would rapidly decrease.

I personally think that malls should be allowed to institute teen curfews and guardian policies if they have had an incident that makes their customers unsafe. I say this because there is actually a few teens that are responsible and know how to control themselves. Although, there are the few that just have no self-control and act like they run the world, they should not be the cause of all of the other responsible teens that visit the mall but if there is a serious incident, then establish the rules. So, I think that until there is a major incident that occurs in the mall, there should be no curfew for the teens in the mall.

Forget it

You must be kidding

Me, doing a poem, that’s hilarious

I refuse to be apart of that feeling called embarrassment

I don’t know what to say

or even how to say it

I can’t think of topics

I don’t know what words to use

I can’t be still long enough to even right one

I would hate to make a fool of myself

You like it? Really? No kidding.

Thanks a lot. Would you like to see another one?

Yes that’s me.

Look and you’ll see.

My hair is black and bold.

My eyes are brown.

My arms are long and linky.

My hands are big and rough.

My heart is tough but pure.

I’m always giving friends advice.

I never disregard a friend in need.

My friends call me the guidance counselor.

I live for my little sisters and brothers.

I hope they are better than me.

I dream to be Mr.R&B.

It’s all clear as can be.

This is absolutely, positively me.
