Forbidden boy by, Hailey Abbott is about a junior named Julianne, living in the sunny state of California. Julianne is an amazing artist, who was given the opportunity to be the head designer of a Eco-friendly house being built in her home town. Julianne gets along with her sister and father so well, as they fight to stick together after losing their mom and possibly losing their home. Chloe (her sister) and Julianne kicked the summer off with a bomb fire on the beach, little did she know she would meet the guy who would turn her summer upside down. Forbidden boy was a really good read, for teen girls who like to read about love stories and drama. I would rate this novel a 8 our of 10, i learned a lot from this book, how to handle one problem at a time, stay positive and live in the moment. The story line and chain of events really keeps a reader on their toes! With one tragic moment in Julianne’s life, another good one would follow right behind. I recommend this book to any girl who really likes teen dramas. This book makes you think, “is he really worth hurting your family over?” and if i was in her shoes, he’s most likely not;)

Perfect  By, Natasha Friend,  is a novel about a young girl named Isabelle coping with her fathers sudden death with binge eating.  After dozens of trips to the fridge at night and her fingers down her throat, her little sister April caught on and ratted her out to their mother.  Isabelles mother sent her to group, where she saw the one girl she never expected to see; Ashley Barnum. The “it” girl, the girl Isabelle strived to be. Isabelle would soon realize that Ashley was no better then her, maybe even weaker then Isabelle would become. Perfect is told in first person, told by Isabelle. I would recommend this novel to mainly teen girls, and teen girls who are dealing with a lot of stressful situations. Isabelle gives hope to anyone who’s dealing with something that feels never ending, with her father being gone, and her mother chronicly depressed, Isabelle finds sunshine through the rain storm and over comes her disorder and loses the people that she was dragging down. “My stomach rumbled as i looked at everyone’s food. I could have eaten all three of their lunches and still have been hungry, but the truth is I can’t stand eating in the cafeteria with everyone watching me. If people are going to look at me, i’d rather eat too little than too much.” (p.33), the moral of this novel after Isabelle over comes her sickness is, don’t do something to impress someone else if it doesn’t seem right to you. If you’re hungry, then eat, if you’re sad, cry. A perfect balance in every state of your life is the way too life. Too much food, too much sadness isn’t okay.

The Lovely Bones written by Alice Sebold is written in first person told by Susie Salmon.  What seemed like an average day to Susie, walking home after school she decided to take the other way home through the corn field right outside her neighborhood. Little did she knew that would be her last day physically on earth. The novel mainly takes place in heaven, while Susie watches her loved ones fall apart after her mystery of a death. It wasn’t till after her death did Susie realize how much of a back bone to her family. The novel took an extremely long time to play out with action, but with some what of a wait it became thrilling. It’s a basic read, with a good story line. The passion in her father was so real, an instant connection with him was made.  The Lovely bones is a decent book, with characters who have really strong personalities so getting into it is nearly given.
