Dear Friend,
I truly do not think the war between the colonies and Great Britain can be avoided for specific reasons. I think one reason is there has been many battles between them so they are not known for getting along too well. Another reason that the war can not be avoided is because Great Britain has put taxes on the colonists and the colonists did not react to this in an appropriate way. So this is just my opinion but you my friend may think differently.

Ellery the Elephant gazed at the blazing sun. Ellery was a very small Elephant for her age. A lot of other Elephants worried about her because she was so small. But Ellery didn’t care about her size at all. She thought of herself as the same size as her parents. But she didn’t actually think about how small she was for an Elephant. One day it might become a horrible disease. Ellery was walking to school one day and she noticed that there was no water in the stream. How on earth was she going to drink? If she can’t drink water than how is she going to grow? When Ellery got to school she told her teacher about how there was no water. The teacher laughed her head off. Ellery told more people about how there was no water. Each time she told someone else she got the same reaction. Nobody believed Ellery. That made her feel like no one cared about her. Ellery shook it off. She went on with her day. When night came Ellery told her parents about how there was no water. Her parents thought that was funny too. But only Ellery realized of the great dangers they were in. Ellery soon fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning Ellery begged her parents to let her stay home from school and investigate. After a half-hour of begging Ellery’s parents said yes. With that response Ellery got right to work. Ellery stomped up to her room and started to pack a bag of things she might need. Once Ellery was done she was off. She sped out the door as fast as a cheetah almost! Ellery wasn’t sure she would find clues and she wasn’t sure if she would find anything at all. But all Ellery wanted was to investigate. When Ellery reached the stream she immediately got to work investigating. Ellery looked up. Ellery looked down. Ellery looked to the right. Ellery looked to the left. But Ellery jet didn’t seem to find or see anything. This sign made Ellery’s ambitions drop. Until she saw something out of the corner of her eye. She turned her head. And about a meter away was a banana peel. This sign made Ellery’s ambitions go way up. She studied the path of banana peels carefully. Then it hit here! Only monkeys eat bananas! So she went off to Monkey’s house.
When Ellery arrived at Monkey’s house she found something interesting. It was a trap door. Ellery decided to go into the trap door hoping she would find something. When she opened the trap door she couldn’t believe her eyes. She saw a huge hose sucking all the water from the stream! The huge hose was connected to a hot tub. And in the hot tub was Monkey. Ellery couldn’t believe Monkey was the one who stole all the water from the stream. Monkey didn’t even seem to care about anyone else no having water. After all Monkey was the only one relaxing in the water too. Suddenly Ellery felt a feeling of rage. Ellery became very angry. She started yelling. Then Monkey noticed that Ellery was in the room. Monkey said “Oh…. it’s just you Ellery”. Monkey didn’t realize how angry Ellery really was. Now Ellery was so angry she started to grow. She kept growing bigger, and bigger, and bigger until her foot was bigger that Monkey! Monkey now began to run away. But Ellery didn’t let that happen. With one great stomp Ellery had flattened Monkey completely. Monkey said painfully “Ouch”. With all the noise going on the whole entire town came into the room. With Ellery that enormous size they could barely fit everyone in the room. Then Ellery began to shrink back down into her regular size. Her parents caught her and lifted her up in the air. The whole entire town chanted “ELLERY! ELLERY! ELLERY!”. Ellery enjoyed the amazing feeling. She was so happy to actually be cared about. Ellery thought to herself “I will never forget the day this happened.”.

One day, Nathan the Nautilus was swimming through the deep depths of the Ocean. It was then when it happened. Nathan unaware of what was above him, continued swimming on. Until it happened. Nathan caught totally off guard was trapped! As Nathan struggled to get out he was pulled upward toward the sky. Up, up, up, until he broke into the fresh air! Nathan couldn’t breath! He tried to get into the water but failed. But Nathan never gives up! Nathan continued on trying to free himself. He came to an immediate stop. There in front of Nathan was a huge giant! Now Nathan was really panicking. As the giant came closer to unlock the cage that was when Nathan did it. At the right moment Nathan squirted sticky goo on the giants face. The giant let out a horrible scream and Nathan planned his escape. Nathan jumped into the water with glee. But Nathan hadn’t realized how far he had actually gone. Nathan had to face that he was completely lost. Not a clue where he was. Nathan just sank into the sand and went to sleep. Nathan awoke to the sun shining across the Ocean floor. Nathan thought to himself. “Where am I?”. Although Nathan didn’t realize where he was, he will soon very well know where he is……
As Nathan decided to try to find his way back home he came upon something. In front of Nathan was a Nautilus shell! Nathan couldn’t believe his eyes. He was looking at his very own kind. He approached the shell. When he was about an inch away something happened. Nathan was now close enough to touch the shell. He was about to do exactly that until……… The shell flew right up into the air knocking Nathan right off of his feet. Nathan scared as he can be asked the shell. “Who, who are you?”. There was no reply. Nathan couldn’t see a thing. There was sand everywhere in the water. Suddenly the shell appeared right in front of Nathan. Nathan was surprised to see one of his own kind alive there in front of him. The other Nautilus was also surprised to see one of his own kind. Then Nathan noticed that the Nautilus wasn’t much older than he was. Nathan asked the other Nautilus questions. Nathan found out the other Nautilus’s name was Natausha. Nathan also found out that Natausha was lost just like him. Nathan and Natausha decided to team up together to find their homes. Nathan looked around him. Natausha looked around her. They both saw nothing. Everywhere around them was flat sand. No rocks, no fish, no nothing. A feeling of sadness passed through Nathan and Natausha. Because there was no hope for the both of them. But they decided not to give up ever, even in the darkest times of the dark. They would keep trying, keep trying until they found the place they called “Home”. As Nathan and Natausha went on the sun soon dropped in the sky. As daytime passed, nighttime rolled in. Nathan said. “It’s time to find shelter for the night.”. Natausha replied. “You’re right.”. Nathan started to dig himself a hole to sleep in for the night. Natausha did the same. A few minutes had passed and they were both fast asleep, preparing for the big day ahead of them.
The next morning Nathan had an idea to try to find his way back. He tried to remember how far he had gone. Then it hit him! They were going in the complete wrong direction. Nathan alerted Natausha of the news and they both headed back towards the way they came. Once they reached where they were first at they stopped. Now was the difficult part, trying to remember. Nathan tried to think. He was thinking as hard as he could. But he just couldn’t remember. He kept on thinking. Until he remembered. He had to go South. That was what his parents always told him. Always go towards the South. So Nathan did exactly that. Natausha followed close behind. As lunchtime came around the corner their stomachs were growling up a storm. Never in their lives had Nathan and Natausha felt so hungry. So they decided to stop for lunch. But there was nothing to eat! Nathan was now desperate. Nathan exclaimed. “Lets eat the sand!”. Natausha said. “No way!”. So there they were, Nathan stuffing his face into the sand and Natausha watching him in disgust. After lunch Nathan continued on South. It seemed like they have been walking forever. But then they remembered that they shall never give up. So they continued on. Nathan and Natausha kept on going South until they could walk no more. They decided it was close enough to nighttime that they could go to bed. So they both started digging there holes.
Nathan awoke to him being yelled at by Natausha. When Nathan finally got up he instinctively started moving South. Natausha was standing there with a look like she was freaked out, but she decided to follow him. Nathan was lost for 3 days now. He wanted to go home so badly. He had a feeling that he would be home by tonight. With that good feeling he kept on moving. In the water he could barely make out a town. Nathan yelled. “Natausha Natausha I found a town!”. Natausha hurried over with excitement. As they approached the town many memories came into Nathan’s mind. Then Nathan realized this was the place he called home. Nathan was now moving so fast he almost tripped. When Nathan got very close he saw many more Nautilus’s. Nathan finally reached the town. All the Nautilus’s were coming out to greet him. Nathan was so happy. Until it happened. Natausha was snatched up into a cage and was shooting up toward the sky. Everybody yelled in terror. Nathan tried to stop it but he couldn’t. Nathan couldn’t believe what happened. It was to late. A few minutes later Natausha’s shell floated down slowly. Nathan felt so sad. His only friend was now gone. Everyone tried to comfort Nathan but he said. “No!”. All the Nautilus’s backed away. Nathan now sobbing went over to the shell. Nathan said a prayer. And Nathan mumbled. “Today was bittersweet”. Happy, but sad.
