Today when I came home I heard a little peeping noise comming from my bedroom when I went to look there was little chickens in my room in a box. There is 17 of them 2 boys and 15 girls. The problem is that I need names for them so if you are reading this post I would much appreciate if you would comment saying your name for a chick or multiple chicks. Next friday the names will be chosen and posted on my blog. If you where wondering they are the colors yellow, brown and Black.
I think that this is cool because the robot is basically finding the little squares around the maze with the light sensors. I also think this is cool because it uses the Ultra sonic sensor and the light sensor which I am both interested in are in this project. The last reason why this is cool is because the robots that we have can do completely amazing things that some of us cannot even attempt to do.
Dear my kind friend,
In your
last letter you mentioned if war can be avoided my answer to that is no for the
following reasons that most of my fellow men were killed or wounded and that
that had called us villains. The first reason is that many of us were killed or
wounded. Many people where not killed but left wounded like me do not worry I
am fine. But know because of the redcoats many families are missing a piece and
would never be whole again. The final reason is that the redcoats were saying “Throw
down your guns you villain you rebels” and then I heard “Fire, by God fire” no
one said anything then gun shots filled the air and I fell. This is why my dear
friend that I think war is not going to be avoided by the redcoats.
Sincerely your ever so grateful friend,
John Robbins
General facts and History on the Assabet River
Zoe Donovan
What is the History of the Assabet River?
The questions I had were, when was the first building built near
the Assabet, Were their mills near the river and was the Assabet ever used as a
water source?
I learned that the Assabet River used to carry people on
steamboats from Maynard to Whitman’s crossing in Bristol, MA. I also learned
that Nathan Pratt built a gun powder mill near the Assabet River in 1835.
Finally I learned that The Assabet River goes thought 19 towns and 1 city. The
last piece of history that I learned about was that Henry David Thoreau wrote
about the Assabet River like when he found a jug floating down it. To investigate my questions I read computer
articles and a book that taught me on the general facts and history. Out of t
he many important events that happened my favorite had to be when I was reading
a book fishing for information and had absolutely no luck finding any information
on the Assabet River I finally came across a beautiful title reading History
then I started putting my pencil to work jotting down every piece of juicy
information on the river. Another example of a favorite event was when I had
finished my presentation A scratch video
game with a fun creature who teaches students on the general facts and history
of the Assabet River. From my investigation I found out a lot about the
watershed and the river including that the watershed is about 177 square miles (460
square km.) and that the Assabet River is a quality class B that means that the
river is not completely clean but it is not highly polluted. My successes where
as noted in the paragraph above but some of them I did mention like when I
found website that had answers to all of my questions like how long is the
watershed, how long is the Assabet and Is there any historic places along the
river? What surprised me was how long the watershed was that was amazing I
would have never guessed it would have been that long. I did not have any
failures lately and I wish to not have any at all.
My next steps would be comparing the size of other rivers to the
Assabet River then seeing if it is close to be one of the biggest rivers in
America or in Massachusetts. Another next step for me might be getting more in
dept information on the historic places along the Assabet River.
There are many resources that contributed to my successes like the
oars3rivers website and a guide to the Assabet, Concord and Sudbury rivers.

I am Sir George Carteret I was born around 1610 in New Jersey.
I served in the British navy and fought for the royalist. I was appointed governor
of the Island of Jersey by Charles 1. When the civil war Happen I was the
comptroller of the navy and was respected by all parties. I went back to Jersey
to see my family shortly after that I became the treasurer of the Navy. Being friends
of many important people it was very easy to get territory between the Hudson and
Delaware rivers. I added land the Jersey
to make it a New Jersey. I died in 1680
leaving New Jersey a colony that I ruled over.
