What I learned most in this video was how great the Ipod, Iphone, and Ipad can be for class projects wether it be research or interviews with these devices. I never really thought in dept how awesome it could be used in the classroom. Since technology is what everybody is using it, then students should be able to use it as well because this is the new learning way. Teacher need to be aware and not be afraid of technology.

This information would have been great last semester if our group had knew more about apps in general because we had to interview a ton of people, take notes, and keep track of everything. So having the microphone app would have been great and having evernote to take notes would have made our life much more easier by keeping everything in order and in one spot.

I think this is great and finally getting the word out about how to teach with technology in the classrom. I would totally use everything mentioned in the video in my classroom as a group assignment so all involved could explore whatever the assignment maybe together and come up with something new. This is how kids are learning these days and we need to not use so much of the regular teaching tools and bring in what kids are use to and thats technology they use it everyday its our future.

I really enjoyed this assignment. I did my screencast over Scratch, how to import your own background from your computer, How to shrink or grow a sprite, and how to get a sprite to move steps. I think screenr is a great tool for teachers to explain how to do stuff and better yet it is free. I learned that when you are trying to explain something to someone and they are not getting it then make it visual for them too see so maybe they will better understand what you are talking about.

The members is our group were Lisa Grosch, Tiffany Leach, and Jessi Hamby. Our group chose option B: Eclectic Race. We recorded every scene option on the list. Our scavenger hunt went really good. The hardest part was finding someone that wanted to be recorded. The most interesting part was finding peoples’ opinions on each topic. I think the best video that was recorded was Lisa showing her school spirit for UCO while climbing a tree. I think the funniest video was when we asked “Preacher Bob” if he was an artist. Our group really wanted him in one of the videos and that was the closest topic. That video was more for fun. We really liked how UCO and its students were so helpful and a good atmophere of community involvement.

A Pecha Kucha presentation is a slide show of twenty different pictures that stay on the screen for twenty seconds each.  After you choose a topic, you find different pictures that help to describe the topic.  The presentation helps the speaker determine what to say based on the review of each picture. What makes a good Pecha Kucha is having clear pictures, having a topic that is interesting and going into great detail about the facts of each picture.  It is important to cite the source where you found your picture.

The very first thing I learned was how to find other people’s pictures that you can use on the internet.  My favorite cite was flickr.com.  The reason I liked flickr.com was the ease of downloading the picture size and how to correctly cite where I found the picture.     I also learned from everyone else’s presentations topics that I had not even thought of before.  That was a very good learning experience for me.  Even though I hate getting up in front of people and talking, this was a good way to help me feel more comfortable because I was talking about  something that was of interest to me.

Ways that I think that this could be used in the classroom would be to help the students to feel more comfortable with their classmates and learning more about them by their topics. I think maybe you could have less slides based on the grade level.  Also, choosing a topic that goes along with whatever you are currently studying in your class.  I think it is really a good way to help get students comfortable about speaking in front of their classmates.

My Final Scratch Project was hard for me to create.  I do think that out of all of my Scratch projects that this is the best one. Even though my stories do not make a lot of sense, I learned how to navigate the Scratch program easier each time.  My biggest thing for this Scratch project was to make something appear and then come back on the screen at a later time.  It took me a while to figure that out but I finally figured it out.  This is my first Scratch project with sound.  I also used x and y values to set my sprites at different locations and to move to those locations.  Throughout this whole project, I feel like I have added a little more to each project.  It just takes a long time to figure out each move. I find myself wanting to repeat those same actions over and just add new ones on top of what I have already created.  My first project was called The Howling Tornado and my second project was called The School House.
