Once upon a time, there was a elephant named Stinkbug.  Stinkbug was a very fat elephant.  One day Stinkbug tried to go swimming with his friends.  They all got to the beach,  unpacked their things and they all ran to the water and started swimming happily.  Unfortunately  for Stinkbug he was too fat to swim, so when he ran into the water, instead he sank below the water’s surface thinking he was at least a two feet under water.  Stinkbug was kind of stupid but not that stupid to realize that he was looking at everybody’s knees so he knew something was wrong.  (I do have to say that the last time I checked the water was only a foot or so deep.)  It occurred to Stinkbug that something was wrong.  When he looked down, he couldn’t see his knees because he was hugging his knees.  The reason he was under water was because he forgot to stand up.

The End.

BIG APPLE CIRCUS!!!  During vacation my family and I went to Boston, Massachusetts to see the Big Apple Circus!!!

The acts I enjoyed the most were the stallions and acrobats that did stunts on the trapeze.  My favorite act was the act with the stallions because I am a horse lover.  During the act, one of the horses wasn’t listening very well so another trainer had to come out to get the horse back into order.

There was a clown that I didn’t enjoy as much as Grandma, who is the star of the show.  Mostly the only sounds made by the other clown were ear piercing shrieks.Sadly this is Grandma’s last year in the circus.  Also we saw Roger with his family.  While there we enjoyed cotton candy because NO circus is ever complete without it!  I already look forward to next year’s show!

FIRST PLACE!!!  On Saturday I had a dance competition in Waterbury, Conneticut!  I got a first in the Reel, two seconds, one in the Jig the other in the Slip Jig, a fourth in the Treble Jig.  One of my favorite dances is one of the thirty Traditional Sets, St. Patrick’s Day.  In a Traditional Set, the steps can never be changed.  Those types of dances have been danced for over four hundred years!!!  The feis (dance competition) was running very late.

That same night I went to an A Capella Festival in Boston, named Boston Sings.  Their were four groups.  The first group was named Voices in Your Head from the University of Chicago and was the winner of a collegiate competition!  The second group was a group from Boston and was named RedLine, they sang lots of modern songs.  The third group was named Traces and is an all women’s group from New York City and there were five of them.  The last group was called Cadence and they were from Toronto, Canada.  Their were only four kids in the whole entire audience including my sister and me.  The first group was my favorite.

 Lowell Mills was awesome!!!

On Wednesday our class went to Lowell Mills!  First we went on a ten minute trolly ride that brought us to one of the mills, where our leader Andy told us what we would be doing.  Then we split up into groups and tried to make a pulley do what we wanted using directions.  In my group was Tommy, Gabby, Patrick and of course me.  The next thing we did was we went to the machine room where we saw the machine that was the main power source for the mill.  Then we went back to where we would have lunch, on the way back we saw a shopping cart with a Target bag next to it in the Merrimack river.  After we had lunch we went to the workshop and the girls made model canals and the boys tested water wheels.  (That was a mess)  After we went to the Boarding Houses and saw models of what Boarding Houses looked like.  Thats what our field trip was

Have you ever gone to Lowell Mills? Respond in a comment :)

My babysitter showed me this video on youtube, called “Sky Bear Bingo Senior project.”  The video was of my babysitter riding her horse named Sky Bear without reins or a bridle.  Kathryn my babysitter was telling Sky Bear what to do with her legs.  I think it was really, really awesome!  The video was three minutes and forty-three seconds long to be exact.  Kathryn is nineteen years old.  It took Kathryn four years to teach Sky Bear bridleless riding.  The video was performed at Boulder Brook Stables, in Lee, New Hampshire.  Kathryn and Sky Bear made a lot of transitions including walking, trotting, cantering, halting, backing and at the end they did a final pirouette.  The routine that Kathryn and Sky Bear did was to Sweet Thing by Keith Urban.  The song really, really matched the routine.   http://www.safeshare.tv/w/tGGdQXsTGG

Do you ride horses, if you do where do you ride????
