Author: Barbara O’Connor

Characters: Georgia, Toby, mom, Luanne
Settings: The setting is mostly in their car and the old dusty house that the family used to live in.
The story begins with: Georgia had a plan to steal a dog because her dad left her, her brother, Toby, and their mom behind. Their dad left them behind and took all of the stuff in the apartment. Georgia had to steal a dog for $ for an apartment or a house for them to live in instead of a car.
The events in the story are:
1. Georgia decides to steal a dog for $ to find a place for her, Toby, her mom to live in. Her and Toby was looking for a dog to steal in town. They finally found a dog in a big house and the owner really loves the dog.
2. Her mom found a really old house to live in. Georgia and Toby didn’t really liked it so they decided to live in the car again. Georgia decides to leave Willy, the dog, to live in that old house. Her mom got a job at a coffee shop and she brings back food everyday so now Georgia would have food to bring to Willy.
3. Georgia feels bad for Willy to live in that old nasty house, so she decides to tell Carmella, Willy’s owner, the truth about what happened to Willy but, before she even did Willy was already at the back door waiting to come in. Sad for Georgia she didn’t get any money from Carmella. Lucky for her, when she came back to the car, her mom said she found a house that they can live in. Georgia was so happy that she don’t have to live in the car anymore and she can have her life back as normal and be a normal girl.
I learned that- Stealing a dog is not the best way to get $$$.
I really liked- When Georgia decides to tell Carmella the truth.
I didn’t like when- Sometimes Georgia just decides to quit on try to steal a dog but, she just had to for money for a place to live in.
I wonder- If their mom will ever know anything happened with stealing the dog?
I would/would not recommend this book because- I would recommend this book to anybody because it’s a REALLY good book, I have to say.
