I like blogging because of what I write about.  I write about sports because I love sports.  I’m not sure if you have ever thought about this, but making a blog could help get you in to college or farther. My teacher has talked a lot about how that could lead you far into life. I have had blogs that have been very popular I have had a day where 190 people visited my site. Here are some tips that I posted a few weeks ago.

This blog might be a little off topic but it is okay with me. This blog I’m going to give you a few tips about blogging.

1.  Blog about what you like, like me, I blog about sports.

2. Never write when you are mad or angry it might ruin your image as a writer.

3. Try to have a question in your posts because then you might have a better shot at more comments.

Come visit my blog at  The 4th Down  and make sure to comment!

Thanks and good luck in your blogging,

Ben (4th grader fron New England)

Porto (Portugal)

Portugal is a wonderful country near Atlantic Ocean, in the western of Europe. The capital is Lisbon but there are lovely cities like Porto. I live in Porto.

You can visit the old part of the city! Beautiful monuments! But you can choose walking by the reverside Douro or near the beach.

You can visit Casa da Musica if you like music. There’s a lot of workshops for young children.

Hoping to hear from you soon!

Mabuhay! Hello, I am Miss Cheska, a Filipina science teacher from New York. I did not see a post on Philippines, so I thought I might write one for you. Philippines is an archipelago, or a group of many islands that are surrounded by a large body of water. It is a country in Southeast Asia, in the Western Pacific Ocean. When I look for it on the map, I always think of its shape as a woman washing clothes in a river with a turban wrapped around her head!

I was born in the capital city, Manila, and was raised there until I was eight years old and moved to America. There are many languages and dialects that are spoken in Philippines, but the national language is Tagalog. To say hello to someone in Tagalog, you say: Kumusta! My favorite thing about the Philippines is the wonderful tropical beaches and jungle forests. If you’re lucky, you might see a tarsier in the forest! A tarsier is a very tiny mammal with large eyes! My least favorite thing about the Philippines is the monsoons, or strong windy rainy seasons. Once when I was visiting family in the Philippines, it rained for a whole month nonstop! I remember having to wade through the streets with water up to my waist!

I hope that this post about the Philippines was very helpful. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my lovely country and experiences with you!

Hello! I studied in Germany (specifically Hamburg) for the summer. Berlin, which is incredibly rich in history, is just about a two hour bus ride away. My favorite treat was franzbrötchen, a croissant-like sweet pastry with butter and cinnamon. This delicacy is unique to Hamburg!
