The alarm goes off! “We woo, we woo!” The siren blares like a tigers roar. We get suited up as quickly as we can. We have a protective yellow jump suit to keep us safe from branches and twigs. As well we have a parachute and a backup parachute. We also have to wear a motor cycle helmet as were getting ready for the flight. We hear the engines purr, we run to the plane, jump in, and we’re off! We’ve found our jump spot – the perfect place to land. We throw a paper weight to see the wind power. If it’s good we get ready. It looks good. Three, two, one, and jump!
As we jump were about 3000 feet in the air – that’s is a high altitude. As I float down to the earth below I think, “This could be my last jump. I hope it’s worth it!” Everyone pulls their parachute string but mine is jammed. I’m falling! I remembered my reserved parachute. “POP!” “Yes, thank the lord it came out.” We all land safely. That was close I almost died. But, we came here for something else.
We look up and the plane is getting lower. They are pushing the care package out of the helicopter. We see the packages floating down like snow. Next thing we know is the care package gets stuck in the tree. We need that – it is our food. One of the men volunteered to go up and unhook it so it came down. It was way up the he reached it he had it right in his fingertips. He got it took the hook off and the care package came flying down so fast that when it hit the ground it broke into to dozens of peace’s. some of the food got smashed but the rest was just fine, now we need to worry about get are man out of the tree.
We get right to work to hesitation not till were done. Here we go we get out our tools and get right to work. We start clearing some paths so the fire has nothing to burn. After its out we get are sleeping bags and get some rest. Once we wake up in the morning we all get on our knees so we make sure there are no hot spots on the ground. There’s not so we start walking to the tree were man was in climbing down. He was on the ground we called the helicopter. He still had a pulse, when the helicopter came we all got in and flew off. The engine must of blew we went flying out of the air. “TO BE CONTINUED”
