The book Kimchi & Calamari by Rose Kent by Rose Kent is about a boy that got adopted, but he doesn’t know because his parents think he’s too young to know that. He has a project that requires him to write about his family, but the bad thing is that he hears his mom and dad talking about his real parents. He gets mad because they didn’t tell him the truth. He does something to find his parents… if you want to know, read it! I would give it a 8 out of 10.

The book I am going to tell you about is written by Wendelin Van Draanen. It is pretty scary, but comedy too. This book pulls you in to keep reading so if you like interesting books, this is the one for you. If you liked Nancy Drew then this is also a book for you because Sammy is a girl who sleuths A LOT!! On a scale of 1 -10 I rate this book a 10 because it is very suspenseful!!

The book is called Tunnels and the authors are Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams and the genre is adventure. The characters are Will, Chester, and Rebecca. They are looking for some old stuff like antiques. But when they are digging they hit something hard. So they dig as fast as they can. When they are digging they hear something that sounds like gangs’ voices, so they ran away as fast as they can. They go home to find police officers by their house.

I rate this book a 10 out of 10 because it’s the best adventure book I’ve read.

In this book there is a boy named Vladimir but everyone calls him Vlad. He has normal 8th grade problems, except he’s a vampire. Both of his parents are dead, too. There are other vampires in his school that are hunting him because they saw his fangs. By the end of the year Vlad wants to kiss a girl, but his foster mom won’t let him leave the house so Vlad flies away when he’s in his room.

I rate this book 9 out of 10 because it keeps you reading.

Trata de un muchacho llamado Adam y el quiere entrar en el ejercito por que su papa y su abuelo estubieron en el ejercito, pero su mama no lo deja entrar asi que se va unos dias con su abuelo.

Pero primero va a reclutarse y le dan unos papeles para firmar y se los da a su abuelo pero tambien dice que no porque el perdio un brazo y su papa murio en la guerra. Despues cambia de opinion y se los firma asi que, Adam se va al ejercito y lo mandan a la guerra,volvera a su casa despues de la guerra?

Yo le doy un 10 por que es interesante y emocionante.

In this book the main character is Virgina. But she likes to be called Ginny. Her Aunt Peg has just died and the first roommate she lived with is sending the letters Aunt Peg wrote to Ginny before she died. So now Ginny is following what the letters tell her to do. On her way she meets a British man who is now her love. With life there are always rules. So there are four rules:

Rule #1: she may only bring a backpack and stuff that fits in it.

Rule #2: NO guide books, phrase books, or foreign language books.

Rule #3: NO money credit/debit cards.

Rule #4: No laptop, cell phone, mp3 or ipod, no camera, and no communicating to family or friends, but post cards and handwritten letters are encouraged.

I give this book a 10 out of 10 because I just love this book. All of the details it gives and the description are so good I just couldn’t put it down.

There are 5 golden tickets that are sent out in any kind of chocolate made by Mr Wonka. Who ever is a good child gets a life’s Worth’s of chocolate. Who will get a lifetime worth of chocolate?

All The Broken Pieces

All the Broken Pieces by Ann Burg is a great book. It’s about a small high schooler that has a desire for a piano, but every weekend he goes to play catch with his dad because his dad thinks he should try out for the school baseball team. The main character thinks he’s too small to make the team, but that’s not what his dad thinks. But then he ends up trying out. I can’t tell you any more until you read this book.

I give this book a 10 because if you like like sports books you’ll like this book.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid #4

When you read this book you may need to do it during the day……. so you don’t wake anyone up with your laughing!!! This is a book about a kid in a small neighborhood living everyday life…. but he always finds a way to get in trouble. I’ve read all these books and I think they are all very funny. The author of this book is Jeff Kinney. He is a really good author. I would give this book a 10 and all of the rest of the books, too!

January Jokers by Ron Roy is a book about these kids that wake up at night and go outside and see weird lights and think it’s a spaceship. Then they see two weird aliens. I give this book a ten because it’s funny and if I was you I’d give it a try.
