Data Engineer

As a data engineer with Kidblog, you’ll dig deep into our massive dataset to tackle challenges related to assessment, predictive modeling, academic interventions, and formal research – providing actionable information to teachers, students, and parents to increase student achievement.

You should have:

• Experience developing web apps
• Deep understanding of MySQL optimization and relational database design
• Ability to design algorithms to model complex systems
• Computer science or mathematics degree, or equivalent experience

You get bonus points for:

• Having enough PHP knowledge to be dangerous
• Experience with Git source control workflow
• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Managing distributed databases in the Cloud
• K-12 industry or teaching experience
