I am in a rage! Sir Fernandez, a fellow man who I put in charge, has not followed my plan of helping the colonists! He was more interested in pirating, and did that instead. He abandoned the colonists!!!!!  Now, all that remains of them is a word carved into a tree: Croatoan. I wonder what that means?….

We have reached  the land and found so many riches and jewels, that all of the crew’s pockets are bulging with saphires and rubies. I have found as many jewels as I can and will give them to the Queen to hopefully win her favor…

I am sailing towards South America,looking for riches. Hopefully I can win back the Queen’s favor. She got upset because I married Elizabeth Thockromorton,one of the Queen’s attendants. I have just come out of the “Tower of London” for this crime. According to my guesses, we might reach El Dorado in 6 days!

Today, Queen Elizabeth has knighted me. I also have become captain of her guard, so I am in a honorable posistion. She has kindly given me riches and land so I have become wealthy. I still am not allowed to go exploring…
