I got shot doing the rough and hard times.I was burried around 1604. I was born at Notre Dame church in Quebec in 1635, but that building burned down in 1640. I died of old age. No one shot me.

I sailed to Canada, and explored the St. Lawrence River for the king. I also became one of the first Europeans to write about Niagara Falls.

I sailed to the Spanish colonies in America on a French trading ship. From 1599 to 1601 I made several voyages to the West Indies, Mexico and Panama. I returned to France in 1601 and wrote a book about my voyages.

I was about 36 when I came to North America. I was very young when I started loving adventure. I loved North America.

I was born in a small town that was far away called Brouage, on the coast of France. I was the first permanent settlement in New France. My father was an sea captain, and taught me navigation. I joined the French Army at the age of 20 and served until 1598. The next year I sailed to the Spanish colonies in Americas on a French trading ship.
