I sent more explorers out and they reached somewhere called the Madiera Islands. I believe the islands are somewhere near Africa. I can’t wait to send more explorers out to sea.

My students sailed to Cape Bojador. The route that they took they called the Sea of Darkness. The students said that the water boiled red with blood. One explorer said there was red sand that flowed into the sea which made it look red.

I have decided I want to explore more. I am going to start a school of navigation. All of my students will go on voyages by sea. My students will learn about shipbuilding, astronomy, and sailing.

My father and I finally led the Portugese army to victory! We called it the Seige of Cueta. Words cannot express how happy and excited my father and I are right now.

Today my father and I decided we are going to take over Ceuta, Africa. Our men are ready to fight. Some people think I am brave for deciding to do this at the age of seventeen. I am ready to go to war.
