How has adding music and drama helped your learning? 

Adding music and drama has helped my learning.  Music has helped me learn  subtraction and addition. We count by fives  and we skipped by twos. Drama can be fun and it helps me do word problems. I can understand it so well. It even helps me court money. And it can help me pay attention.

What have you learned this year in math?

This year I learned about time tables in math class. We learned how to multiply, subtract, and add. We learned how to count money. We learned doubles and neighbors facts to help us remember addition and subtraction. I like math because it is fun and it helps me to be smart at math.

Can your students tell me about some good math games that I can use with my students in Winooski?

Dear Ms. Kirsten,

I want to teach you a game that your students can learn.  Anything But Five will teach them how to be good at addition and subtraction. You have to roll dice. If you roll a 5, your turn is over. If you don’t roll a five, you add the numbers on the dice. You can roll again if you want to. Add together all of your rolls and subtract your total from 95. Your partner rolls the dice. If he or she gets 5, their turn ends. If not, they can roll again. Whoever gets to zero first wins. This is a good game because it helps you learn subtraction and addition.

What did you learn this week in math?I leaned this week in math class.  we learned that math is good. we learned handfull of cubs ,Anything but five. we larned word problem. we learned subtraction,addition.we even learned timed test.math is the  best.

Do video games help you understand math better?

Yes, video games help me learn more math.  Video games are good for me.  Math video games  help me to be faster at math.  Some video games are educational. I want to buy more math video games.
