If you don’t like volcano’s don’t bother reading this blog. Muheeb,Keno,Tanya,Kostya and Marcelo wrote this blog for our science project , that is about a volcano called Mount Pinatubo. This volcano is located in Philippine,Zambales,Blotolan on a small island named Luzon. Mount Pinatubo is a active stratovolcano , these type of volcano’s can be very dangerous. In June 1991 there were seven eruptions one on June three, it was a large eruption, after that on June seven there was a small eruption, then June twelve, thirteen, fourteen and fifteen. Also on June five there was the second most volcanic eruption in the whole world, it lasted nine hours, ash like snow fell. Mount Pinatubo has erupted lots of times. Eight time in 1991, twenty times in 1992, three time’s in 1993, four time’s in 1994, two in 1995, one in 1996, and once in 2002. The eruption in 1993 reached up to more than eight hundred dead and more than a million homeless. Study shows that the river system will take many years to recover from the eruptions in 1991. If you already didn’t know let me tell you that Mount Pinatubo is also part of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Also 30,000 live near Mount Pinatubo.
Have you ever seen Mount Pinatubo? Well if u haven’t don’t worry because this paragraph is going to tell you how Mount Pinatubo look’s like. Mount Pinatubo is not perfectly shaped like a cone, but it has a lot of vents and jagged sides. It stand very high. This may sound weird but on top there is a lake that has lots of grass and tree. Hope you got a picture in your mind.
Our group thinks volcanos are really cool but no one wants to go near it. we also think volcano are delicious because there upside down ice cream cones. our group also thinks Mount Pinatubo is a dormant volcano. Hope you learn a lot about Mount Pinatubo.
