William H. Cosby was born on July 12th 1937.  He grew up in a black,  poor neighborhood in North Philadelphia, PA. Bill had three brothers as a young boy, James Russel and Robert. Bill was the oldest child in the family.  He went to  prestigious school- Central High School, and failed to take it seriously. He dropped out and joined the NAVY in 1956. After he got out of the NAVY, he won an athletic scholarship to Temple University for track-and-field. During the summer break he worked at  night clubs as a bartender and comedian. Bill tried to bring blacks and whites together through his performances.

He met his wife Camille Hanks in Washington D.C, and they got married on Jan. 25Th, 1964. His big break was a new TV series called ”I Spy”. Bill received one Emmy and six Grammy awards. He began then to do lots of commercials about Jell-O and vegetables.

Bill does not drink, smoke or use any drugs. He believes to be straight and honest to every person. Bill Cosby is an incredible man and people should follow his footsteps.

Teachers Should Get Report Cards!

Teachers should get graded by their students on how well they teach. The first reason is it will help the teachers understand you more. The second reason is, teachers can learn from students on how to teach them better. The third reason is, some principals do not give teachers good feedback.

It will help teachers by getting report cards because
The teachers will learn by their mistakes when only the kids notice it and teachers do not. It will also help the teachers because teachers can learn the kids’ different points of view. Sometimes teachers do not even know how students feel about their teaching.

Teachers can learn from their students on how to teach them better because all students learn differently, in their own way. Kids have different smarts, and students could learn better if teachers knew how they learned.

Some principles do not give teachers good feedback because some teachers only want to teach one subject like only math and not reading.  Some principles have too much work and only so little time. Principles sometimes forget what its like to be a teacher and do not know how hard it is to be one.

As you can see, kids would do a lot better in school if their teachers’ had report cards.

http://www.fs.fed.us/pnw/olympia/wet/local-resources/images/blueband.jpg The owl that I researchd is called the Spotted Owl. It was reported in 1860 and  its breeding seasons is March-September. The Spotted Owl is closely tied to old-growth forest for nest and roost sites and the prey animals that live in this habitat. Spotted owls are one of the few owls that have dark colored eyes. Most owls have dark colored from yellow to red-orange. The spotted owl only hunts at night. Spotted Owls are medium-sized owls with brown eyes and no ear-tufts. They are gray-brown in color, with light spotting on their backs and breasts. They are slightly smaller than the closely-related and imilar-appearing Barred Owl. That was all about the Spotted Owl I researched.

My sea creature is called the Deep Sea Porcupine Fish. The Deep sea Porcupine Fish lives in a rocky environment at the bottom of the ocean.

The Quills on the creature helps keeps it warm when the water is very cold. It moves by rolling on the rocky floor at the bottom of the ocean.

The Deep Sea Porcupine Fish protects itself by having quills. The quills are very poisonous. It eats algae and bacteria, and gets its food by rolling on the ground and picking up the food. That was some stuff about my Deep Sea Porcupine Fish.
