I had a blast! I learned that William Penn had a maid for cooking and laundry. I also learned that William Penn had two wives. William Penn was going to name Pennsylvania “Sylvania” but King Charles the second made him name it after his last name. I learned so many more things. :) ;)

I had lots of fun at Pennsbury Manor! This is what I learned. In total Penn had 15 kids but only one (Jo(h)n)was born here in the Pennsylvania, which by the way was almost to be called Sylvania but King Charles the 2nd said to name it the name his dad wanted Pennsylvania. Also cooking food and eating the food were in two different houses/areas…If you were wealthy. He (Penn) ate with his slaves. Penn died from a disease that came from axess protein since back in the day they ate A LOT of meat/fowl/fish. He died at age 74 which is way older than the average lifespan of 40-45 years old.
My favorite part was meeting Tom the turkey.

I loved learning about the manor and Willam Penn. I enjoyed writing with turkey feathers. I learned Willam Penn had 2 wifes. I learned he had 15 children in all but only 8 survived childhood. I learned about the brewery and the baking kitchen. I learned Willam Penn never spent a winter in Pennsbury, he spent only summers. I learned that Willam Penn died at age 74 which was old for that time. Willam Penn was not born a Quaker and his father and mother resented him for that. My favorite part of this trip was in the mini hospital thingy and the bakery and brewery. All in all I though this was a fanatastic trip.

I learned that William Penn died at age 74. I learned that people back then usually lived to be 40 to 45 so William Penn lived very long for his time. I sort of can’t believe that William Penn had 15 children and two wives. I learned much much more too! There are so many more things for everyone to learn about William Penn.

I loved the trip to Pennsbury Manor it was soo fun and exiting that I would love to go there again!!! I learned a lot about Bucks County and what I learned that they didn’t use pens or pencils they used quills to write letters, and if they make a mistake they had to start all over again. Something I also learned is that when William Penn was alive it was hard to be a kid, because in that time, there was lots of diseases and sicknesses, and if the child survives up to five years of age, they have a chance to live.

I learned a lot on this trip and also had a lot of fun. Some of the things that I learned are that William Penn had 5 servants and I thought that Quakers didn’t have servants and William Penn is a Quaker. I also learned that William Penn had two wives one of the wives had 8 children and the other had 7 but only half of them survived. Something else is that Hannah his second wife was the doctor in the family. I also learned that William Penn loved to write so he chose the room that got the most sun in the house. It wasn’t the smallest and it wasn’t the fanciest but he chose the most sun. Right before the tour started we watched a really cool movie about Pennsbury Manor. The class trip was really fun and interesting because I like to learn about history:)

I learned so much on the trip to Pennsbury Manor and it was fun. I learned a lot about William Penn, we found out he only lived there in the summer and there was no kitchen in the house, there was a separate building for cooking. William Penn had 15 children but most of them died. William Penn was married twice. William Penn would dine with the slaves and his family. He treated his slaves very well. William Penn made his own boat to ride to Philadelphia. The trip was fun and I learned a lot.

I love the trip to Pennsbury manor. My favorite part was when we got to write with a quill pen. And I learned how difficult it is to be a kid, and that kids were aloud to drink beer!!! I also learned about how they cooked, and William Penn did not like to cook in his house so he got someone to cook in a different house than his. I also learned that William Penn had 8 children, but only half of them survived. The field trip was so much fun! :) :)

I learned a lot of cool stuff. The thing that really made me say wow is that clothing and sheets and all fabrics were only washed once every three to six weeks. Thats almost a month. They must have gotten very dirty when it was about time for them to get washed! :)

on the trip I learned that they do their laundry every three months. I also learned that William Penn got married two times, and had 15 children!!!!! and that William Penn had slaves but treated them nicely. I also learned that Pennslvna was going to be called slyvna. and that William Penn was wealthy. those are some of the things that I leared on the trip.

IT was so fun, I learned a lot! First I learned that the kids and the adults both drink beer and that they drink it all year. Then I learned how they cure illnesses, it probably took a long time think of them. After that I learned that if you live to be older than five that is amazing, it is because children five and under get many horrible illnesses that are hard to survive. That’s what I learned at Pennsberry Manor. :)

I had a great time at Pennsbury Manor!! Some of the things that I learned was that the kids drank beer, they ate a lot of meat, and that they had a strange but useful way to keep their meat fresh.Writing with the quill pen was so much fun!!! It was a GREAT FIELD TRIP!!:):0

The trip was awesome and also very factual. One fact was that William Penn had five slaves. Another fact is that he had 15 children but eight of them died very early. In addition William Penn was kicked out of of his house because William Penn became a Quaker. This must of been hard for him. Overall this was a very fun and factual field trip. I thought it was really COOL!!

The Pennsbury Manor was AWESOME!!!!!! I learned a lot, like that kids drank beer but luckily it didn’t have as much alcohol as the parents did but the parents’ was really strong. Back in those days it was real hard to be a kid because a lot of the kids back then never ever got to be double digits they didn’t even get past five years old because of sooooooo many diseases that they caught. I learned so much more but if I wrote it all it would probably take wayyyyyy to long to read. The Pennsbury Manor field trip was AWESOME!!! :) ;)

The Pennsbury Manor was the best field trip ever! The most impossible thing I learned is that kids drank beer. Something else that I learned is that William Penn was about to name Pennsylvania “Sylvania” but King Charles the second told him to name the state from is father’s last name. Also I learned that William Penn had 2 wives and 15 children but only 7 survived. But be careful, only children who past their 5th birthday because before you’re 5 years old you had a lot of sicknesses. The Pennsbury Manor trip was awesome!!!

First of all it was a great field trip with countless facts.Like Penn never spent one winter at manor he only spent four summers there. If you were wealthy you would have two different buildings for cooking and for living in. Penn was married twice and had 15 children but only half of them survived. my favorite part was tom the turkey. that is some of the things i learned.
