My story
This is my story……………
Do you think students should be given a laptop? I think students should be given a laptop because you could write stories, you could do tests faster, and you could look up information.
Do you think students should write stories with a laptop instead of paper? Students should use laptops because they will not waste paper. On a computer you could just store it on your hard drive. Also students’ hands will not hurt as much. Your hands will not hurt if you are just typing.
Students’ tests will get graded faster if you use a laptop! Also laptops will grade the tests faster than a human. Another great thing is that the teacher does not have to stay up late grading kids’ papers.
Wouldn’t it be better if kids looked things up on the computer? What would you rather look up information on a computer or in an encyclopedia? The computer will have more up to date information than an encyclopedia. Also, the computer would be faster. Another great program, for example, is “dictionary.com.” “Dictionary.com” is a
free online dictionary.
As you can see I think every student should get a laptop because you could write stories, you could do tests faster, and you could look up information. In the future more people wil be using technology so let’s start now!

Wow! That’s pretty cool! If I was a teacher, or anyone that could make decisions about the kinds of things we could use in school, that story would make me want to give every student in the school a laptop. I would be a lot easier. I know I would enjoy getting to do all my assignments on a laptop. Very neat story.

Its a great story but, I think if every school used computers for everything the students would start relying on the computer to do the work and the human race would not be as smart anymore though it would be nice to get more things done faster.

I’m lucky to live in a state (Maine) where all 7th & 8th grade students get laptops like they get textbooks. Many of our high schools also provide students with laptops. Students need to know how to use computers effectively and appropriately in order to be productive citizens in the future.

Wow! I’m a student at the University of South Alabama, and I really enjoyed reading your story! I agree that it would be very cool if all students could be given a laptop. You made some very interesting points. I love using mine, and the internet is very helpful. It might be hard for every student to be given one because of costs, however. What if there were a fundraiser for the school though?? Again, very good post.
