    Raegan,
What a good idea to give some suggestions for books for reluctant readers. Have you read all of these? Do you have a favorite author?
  2. raegan
I honestly do not have a favorite author. However, I do prefer to read books that are scary and involve some type of supernatural creature like a vampire.
I have read all these books except 1. Ida B , but I have a friend who enjoyed it so I put it on. Also I have two more books to add.
    .Found
    .Sent
  3. Serenity
I also prefer books about vampires, like the Vampire Acadamey Series. I love to read but i like books that are scary, like what Stephen King writes.

The books Found and Sent are really cool books I think that kids will like to read these books cause they have that spark that makes you want to keep reading!!!!

I like your idea of helping kids who don’t like books. That is a very neat and nice thing of you to do. Thanks for caring for other people.

I don’t find a lot of time to read books out side of my employment field (technology coordinator) and that is disappointing to me. In school, I use to read books all the time but now I do more of a drive by approach to reading. I enjoyed the Goosebump Series of books and that was compliments of my third grade teacher! In this method, I find a book or a site that may have a possible answer to a problem I have with a computer and read the areas that I need to read in order to find the solution I am looking for. I also tend to do a lot of reading for my bachelors degree.

In the past year though, I have read two books how ever that have challenged my view and thinking when it comes to the role technology plays in education. The first book: Disrupting Class: How Disruptive Innovation Will Change the way the World Learns by Clayton Christensen, Michael Horn and Curtis Johnson. The other book which is on it’s way to my house right now is Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard by Dan Heath.

I have read both the percy jackson books and the twilight books.I also saw the movies for both of them.Dont you think the books are always better than the movies?

I love what Maria said about the books being better than the movie. I love to read and I actually have read all of the books ( except Ida B.)in Raegan’s list. I really loved the Twilight series and the House of Night Series. I was disappointed with the Twilight movie. I think we are disappointed with the movies because we have an idea or vision of how things are and how people look in our heads. Movie makers change bits and pieces of books to make it fit.Their vision doesn’t match our vision. I have had the reverse happen. I have seen a movie, “PS I Love You” and read the book after. I did not like the book because it did not match what I saw in the movie.Movies are entertaining but it’s someones creation. Reading is more interactive. You read the author’s words but create your own vision.
