Waxwing Quatrain

Perching high up in a tall oak tree

Taking to air with newfound glee

Eggshells cracking nearby

A joyful flutter, an unheard cry

    Santiago,
This is really good. I love the images it brings to my mind about a beautiful, wistful WaxWing bird. There is another teacher who uses Kidblog with his students who created a tutorial on how to find images using Google. He also shows how to find the ones that you are allowed to use with permission. I think you would enjoy learning this very advanced skill. Check it out. Perhaps after watching his video, you can find a picture of a WaxWing that you can use in your post.

I look forward to future poems and posts and especially those where you incorporate your new skills. http://www.screencast.com/users/Jazzymiles/folders/Jing/media/ef0eb5d7-1fdb-4732-b2f3-b02159de80fb

This is a good quatrain. I love how the words and lines flow together so smoothly. I can picture the bird taking flight in my mind. Great job!

I think a picture of the WaxWing would be a neat idea too. I have never heard of this bird so it would be cool to see what one looked like when reading this. Thanks for teaching me something and sharing this.
