Ethan’s “I am poem!!”

I am a computer

You know me for being smart

I live for ever

My best friend is a hard drive

Because it makes me remember information

I fear viruses

Because they steal my information

I love new software

Because it makes me smarter

I wish people would stop viruses!

I hope everyone loved my I am poem!

    Great job on this “I am” poem. I’m proud of you for publishing your poem for the world to see. I hope everyone can tell what a hard worker you are. Do you think they can also tell that you are incredibly smart, an awesome kid, very cute and funny, too? I’m lucky enough to know all of that as truth!

    Interesting choice of a topic for your poem. You have to always be aware of what you are downloading, opening and installing and I can see from your poem that you know that already. I am curious on what you mean “I live for ever”. Do computers live for ever? Do hard drives live for ever? Can something you post online live forever? Thank you for sharing and getting me to think a little bit more!

    Well done Ethan! You know I never thought of these ideas from a computer’s perspective before. If a computer could “really communicate” with us, I wonder what they’d say? Keep up the good work!

    Great Job!!!! I would like to see more of your I am poems. You probably put a lot of hard work into writing that. I liked how you put yourself in the computers “shoes”. You really thought of if the computer had a survey (the i am poem lines) what it would say. (like who’s your best friend etc.) I enjoyed it!!!
