BP oil spill in the Gulf Coast

All because of a drilling mishap in the Gulf Coast and now there is an huge oil spill! This is just a horrific thing to deal with. But now all we need to do is just plug up 2 more leaks to finally stop this horrid oil spill. BP is dropping chemicals into the ocean to break up the oil but this is not enough. They are also dropping sandbags to protect clean shores. This was such a big deal that It was on the World News. It is the worse from oil spill next to the Exxon Valdez oil spill, there are many dangers like oil washing up on the shore to tar balls on the shore, oil covering the birds, and other marine animals.  To learn more click this link. I wonder when will it be safe to eat fish again?

    I know some teachers that live near the beaches the oil is washing up on. They are pretty devastated by the spill. What will your generation do to help keep environmental disasters like this from happening?

    Thank you. Ive heard about the epidemic but i did’nt know it was that serious. I wonder if we can use the oil that we decipher from the ocean.

    I dont like oil spills they Kill enviorments and some people like me dont like that.

    I’m really glad that people are taking notice of the incident, unfortunately my family and I won’t be able to take vacation off in Florida because of the spill. Question: How are we plugging up the holes in the pipe?

    Hi Frankie. This was a terrible environmental disaster. I remember the Exon Valdez spill. These spills take years to clear up and, unfortunately, because it is at sea it isn’t quite as visible as if it was on land. Thank goodness we have the news and young people like you to spread the word about such problems.

    Hi. My name is Paige. I live on Arvada Colorado. I go to Little Elementary. And I am in 5th grade. I have to say Frankie, that i would probably never eat fish out of the Gulf of Mexico again of BP does get this thing cleaned out!!

    I hope they get the Gulf Of Mexico cleaned or what Paige was saying I’m not going to eat any fish out of the Gulf Of Mexico!!!
